My self-summary
Random facts:
I'm really picky about movies. I'm very much a minimalist when it comes to almost any kind of art. I have some pretty nerdy tendencies. I started doing Crossfit in 2016, and I love it, but it doesn't consume my life. I enjoy cooking, and I like to think I'm pretty good at it. I play guitar, trumpet and a little piano, but I wish I played the piano much better. I prefer creamy peanut butter to crunchy. I'm a beer snob, but I won't criticize you for drinking Bud Light. (I will, however, attempt to introduce you to new and exciting beers.) I really enjoy sarcasm. My favorite comedian is Eddie Izzard. For some reason cats love me. I love to watch curling during the Winter Olympics. I know more obscure, useless facts than any one person should. I have minors in English and Journalism, so I'm a good writer, but I'm a pretty bad speller.

I have lots of interests. Ask me about them.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm bartending at The Pharmacy, in East Nashville. You should come have a burger, and a delicious beer or two. I'm also thinking about going back to school, but I'm still not sure what I want to study. Maybe engineering?
I’m really good at
I'm good at (and trying to get better at) tasting, identifying, and talking/writing about beer.

I'm spectacular at identifying movies, even movies I've never seen, after viewing only a few seconds of an obscure scene. It's not a very useful talent.

I'm good at memorizing facts, especially utterly useless facts that no one will ever need or want to know. For example, wheat bread toasts faster than white bread because it's darker and reflects less of the heat. (Well, I guess that could be useful if you were in a hurry to make toast)
The first things people usually notice about me
I have red hair and a beard, so probalby one of those things....?

I spend a lot of time thinking about
There are different sized infinities!

The upcoming solar eclipse.

That light traveling in a vacuum doesn't age. How crazy is that?

And food. I think about food all the time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Unfortunately, I'm usually working. If I weren't working I would either be doing something fun, or sitting at home doing nothing. I'm exciting like that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I hate Shark Week! There, I said it....*

*I used to hate Shark Week more because it interrupted the good programming on Discovery. Since there is very little good programming on Discovery now I'm not as upset about it.
