My self-summary
Hello there! Lawyer living in South London here, a fan of cooking, music, and setting the world to rights over a pint or two. I have a little bit of a cynical streak, but beneath the surface I'm very easy-going: I'm next to impossible to offend and can rub along fine with just about anyone. I love music of almost any sort and also like baking, reading, playing the piano, brushing up my language skills and hanging out with friends.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in safeguarding for a London borough - keeping the masses sheltered, fed, clothed and medicated. I really like what I do - it makes a difference and I get to boss people about quite a bit!

Outside work I'm in a travelling choir and am currently trying to learn German for the umpteenth time with a view to maybe living there for a while one day. I've recently become a member of the gym and also of Kew Gardens - if these aren't signs of maturity then tell me what is! I'm also something of a gamer - love board games, especially new ones, and I should probably feel embarrassed about the number of video games I own.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: My favourite book ever is Cold Comfort Farm, but I read quite a variety of stuff. I have a bit of a thing for the classics - I was one of those odd people who actually enjoyed Silas Marner and Great Gatsby at school...

Films: I like offbeat, under-rated comedies - some favourites are Wonder Boys and The Opposite of Sex.

TV: Archer, Getting On, Nurse Jackie, Only Connect, Golden Girls. I also secretly (not very secretly) love Judge Judy - I suspect on some level she's why I became a lawyer.

Music: Stevie Nicks - clearly the greatest songwriter ever. Aside from that, I'm a big pop fan and anything from Scandinavia is likely to go down well with me.

Food: would have to be Thai I think, but I enjoy eating (and cooking) new things and will give anything a go once.
Six things I could never do without
Boots. (The footwear, not the chemist.)
A pen.
My family and friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether Giles Coren is hot or a dickhead. Can't quite make peace with the idea that he could be both.
You should message me if
Anything above interests you, or makes you laugh, or makes you want to know more. Or if you're Del Marquis from the Scissor Sisters (it could happen, right?)
