I grew up in Chicago, which made me a little too sarcastic and a little too naive at the same time. The older I get, the more convinced I am that no one actually knows what they're doing. Least of all me.
Learning how to cook. (So far: use lots of garlic and butter.) Keeping alive the dying art of listening to an album all the way through. Slowly working my way through all the books I somehow keep buying at Powell's. Playing "Tom Sawyer" over and over on the drums. Writing, to keep life from rushing by too fast. Practicing for the day when Settlers of Catan becomes an Olympic sport.
Herding cats, scribbling hieroglyphics on whiteboards, and leading group therapy sessions... or, in other words, working as a project manager for a tech company.
