My self-summary
Let's see, I'm a young professional who likes cooking, hiking, skiing, traveling, and occasionally jumping out of perfectly good a airplanes. I enjoy going to the gym and know just enough about exercise science to be dangerous. I also have an awesome rescue dog that I love to pieces. Oh, and my ego is only slightly larger than it should be.

I'm fit and train like a body builder. For me training is a very personal thing because it's super important that I stay healthy, but it's also nice to be able to pick up really heavy things (and look good while doing it). I also love to travel and do so as much as I can.
What I’m doing with my life
For work I'm a software engineer, which is cool because I get to create things out of nothing (something god and I have in common). Not everything I create works the way it's supposed to (another thing god and I have in common) I work on medical software to help insurance companies save money which gives me a fuzzy feeling inside to know that I'm making it possible for an executive somewhere to afford that yacht they've been dreaming about.
I’m really good at
Sarcasm. I have a penchant knack for making sly jokes and painting with broad brushes.

I'm also a professional day dreamer. I have a looming suspicion that I might be an undiagnosed ADD.
The first things people usually notice about me
My bright blue eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Lately I've been working my way through Atlas Shrugged. I don't necessarily agree with Ayn Rands politics but it's still an interesting read and definitely more plausible than corporations taking over the world (although it would be fun to watch Starbucks and DD get into a turf war).
Six things I could never do without
My phone and by extension my music, camera, and Internet
My Kindle
My dog
AC in the summer
My car
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why does everyone single out country music and/or rap when they say they enjoy "all kinds of music" while giving yodeling a free pass? Really? I've yet to meet a single person with The Lonely Goatherd on their iPod. Oh and quit hating on country music, Charlie Daniels is awesome (although slightly/enormously crazy).
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually out having dinner and drinks with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't like rap or country music, but i do have The Lonely Goatherd bookmarked in Spotify for comedy purposes.

Also, I'm not a Subaru fan boy, not anymore at least. I was until my last one (literally) blew up on me. It's been long enough now that I can laugh at it, but boy was I pissed when it happened.

What do I look for in a woman? Obviously someone who's smart, nice, and fun to be with. It would be awesome if you live relatively nearby. I love women who are assertive and opinionated. I would say looks aren't important, but I'm a guy, and guys are shallow.

Also, and it pains me to say this, but no vegans please; I cook way too much meat. Every vegan I've talked to (quite a few) all seem to share a holier than thou approach to dieting in general which is a huge turn off. Same goes for people that are voluntarily gluten free (that bread won't kill you, think of it as defective beer). Oh, I *love* the staples of a vegan diet; but for medical reasons simply can't eat that way daily (unless i want to die, which I don't).

Now that I've pissed off 90% of the people looking at this profile by painting in a wildly broad brush, if you're one of the 10% that did a fist pump and quietly (or not quietly) shouted "hell yeah!", we should be friends. :)
