So here's the path of my life:
Long Island - 18 years
Syracuse -7 years (Undergrad + Masters + Law)
Washington DC - 8 years
Boston, MA - 2 years
NYC - Almost five years now.
I've mastered the LIRR, the OnTrack, the Metro, the "T" and now the NYC Subway; figuring out how to get home from every part of every city. I've recently taken to the Link (Seattle), the Lite Rail (both Jersey City and Phoenix) and The Trolley (San Diego). So consider me a master of mass transit!
You'll likely see me walking everywhere in this great city. Always looking for something new!
So where should I look to go in NYC? Is there a hidden treasure that I'm missing?
I work hard....but I definitely work only to live (9-5 work days)
I clean up well...but suits stay in my closet.
I work out everyday....but don't run anymore.
I love movies....but go to the movie theater generally twice a year.
I will read everything...but it's rare to see me with a book.
I host a sports radio show on Mondays....but it's not on the radio.
I love the city.....but I love planning trips out of the city more.
I write for a sports website...but it only has a relation to sports.
I am a contradiction of terms....but all the contradictions are interesting, I promise!
Giving you my honest opinion
Being a great friend
Finding that special gift for someone
I say hello to everyone.
I always say "please" and "thank you"
I have two dimples when I smile.
I ask a lot of questions about everything.
I'm very straight forward.
Movies? YES PLEASE! I love movies. But....a listing includes 1. Blazing Saddles; 2. Shawshank Redemption; 3. Glory; 4. Caddyshack; 5. Hoosiers.
I will listen to any music. Pandora is my best friend at the gym and walking around NYC. Do you have a suggestion on what to add to my station?
Family, especially my nieces and nephews (although most live 3000 miles away)
Popcorn (love it as a snack)
Summer months (about time to start those trips)
Sports (particularly Syracuse basketball and stadium road trips!)
The Law (Need to earn a living)
I think Parentheticals must be #7
BTW, did you know that they make adult "Choose your own Adventure" books? I have it on my shelf. What page would you like to turn to?
I just got back from taking my Grandmother to Australia for her 90th birthday...and yes, I have the travel bug. A trip a month in 2016, have any ideas where I should go and add to the list?
So far taken/planned
January - Vegas
February - Phoenix
March - New Mexico
April - Houston
May - Costa Rica
June - Maine
July - Phoenix + Chicago
August - Europe
After that, it's whatever the night holds for me.
I could be out with friends, babysitting my niece/nephews, or home with a movie. In any event I'm smiling!
I broke my leg the first time I went skiing because I didn't back down to race black diamond from my younger brother.
1. If you'd like to know what I'm thinking in the frog photo
2. If you are a Syracuse Fan (I bleed Orange)
3. If you are ready to meet a great guy, who knows exactly what he wants.
4. If you just want to say "hi!" (but put more in the message, please)
