My self-summary
Deeply cerebral/philosophical to a fault, always looking for lively intelligent conversation. Also love sarcastic and dark humor, I like people who push the envelope and can accept when I do the same.

Bleeding heart liberal, almost communistic at points. But every now and then a particularly right wing fascist policy sounds ok...I'd love to discuss the horseshoe theory and its relation to this particular dissonance of mine.

My central principle is to try and be nice to people. I don't really see any use in generally being nasty, and the benefits of being kind are obvious. Plus, I figure you can always be an asshole if the situation really calls for it...but it's really hard to take back if it doesn't.

Looking for someone I can chill with who can take my constant nattering and maybe parse out some of my better thoughts and give my brain fuel for more.
What I’m doing with my life
Working at the Department of Health, trying to help the public and break the mold of the jaded bureaucrat. Looking to move up the ladder and effect some positive change to the system.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, chilling with friends, and watching movies.
I’m really good at
Dynamic conversation and analysis. I never really stop gathering information and interesting trivia, not sure how much of it will be of any use down the line but there is always hope for Jeopardy
The first things people usually notice about me
My height (every time someone says "Wow you're tall" i want to go "REALLY?") and my eyes
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite Authors: Terry Pratchett, John Connolly, Laurell K. Hamilton, Jim Butcher, Chuck Palahniuk, H.P. Lovecraft, Alan Moore, and Frank Millar

Favorite Movies: Fight Club, Tarantino (such an epic tossup between his films) The Usual Suspects, the Man with No Name Trilogy, Star Wars (fuck the prequels)

Favorite Shows: House of Cards, Cosmos, Star Trek (if you ask which I'm probably in to you already)

Favorite Music: Eclectic. I like all genres, but it kills me when a song has one set of lyrics that repeat incessantly. I oscillate between classic rock and classical, Beethoven is life
Six things I could never do without
Purpose
Philosphy
Books
Cellphone
Cooking
My siblings' spawn (so fucking cute they are!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The state of the world, especially politics here in America and elsewhere. How much and yet how little all the churning complexities of life matter to us and to everyone else down the chain of causality. What I'll be cooking next, probably some delicious experiment involving ad-hoc marinade.
On a typical Friday night I am
Cooking up some epic wings, listening to comedy recordings or the neighborhood wildlife
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm kind of a reluctant misanthrope. Like i really wish people weren't awful and I want them to be better but too too often it's just lowest common denominator.
You should message me if
You can provide friendly intelligent conversation. Or snarky intelligent conversation. Just please no willful ignorance or easily disproven conspiracy theories.

Also if you'd like me to cook for you. I enjoy cooking but having someone to cook for is always awesome (requests will be granted).
