Actually, at the moment I'm pretty happy with the way things are. I have a job and friends that I like, and a functional internet connection. I'm told that some people have dreams, but as the Dude would say, that must be exhausting.
Recent books: Containment (Cantrell), Brilliance (Sakey), Gameboard of the Gods (Mead), Divergent (Roth), The Magicians (Grossman), Ready Player One (Cline), Epic (Kostick), Console Wars (Harris), Daemon (Suarez). If I'm in a non-fiction mood, anything by Michael Lewis seems to go well. Seriously, he made baseball interesting. My actual favorite book is currently probably Shades of Grey (not that one, the Fforde one)
Recent movies: Brooklyn, John Wick, The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Edge of Tomorrow, The Adjustment Bureau, Dredd, In Time, Apollo 13. My favorite is probably Shawshank Redemption, although I haven't seen it in a while
Recent shows: Rick and Morty, Archer, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Futurama, Helix, Nikita, 30 Rock, House of Cards, Broadchurch, Sherlock, Sports Night, West Wing, Wonderfalls. It's hard to pick a favorite, but from a sheer rewatch count it's probably Archer. Currently watching Stargate SG-1.
I'm going to replace a couple categories here, because I'm much more interested in games than music or food:
Recent computer games: Overwatch, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Invisible Inc., Spelunky, WoW, Orcs Must Die, Portal. My favorite game is probably Psychonauts, but roguelikes have too much replayability for me to walk away from
Recent board games: Power Grid, St. Petersburg, 7 Wonders, Flash Point, Alien Frontiers. Race for the Galaxy is easily my favorite, although I'm liking the dice variant they came out with recently
* My absurdly needy cat
* Books/movies. I could probably live with either one on its own, but having neither would get a bit boring
* Friends. It'd be ok for the first few years, and then I'd probably be pretty depressed
* You! Yes, you, dear reader. You are the one. Possibly. It can't be ruled out, anyway
