My self-summary
Self-summary ? Well I don't really know where to start (I hate these sorts of things). I'm a bit of a geek over most things, I like to tell bad jokes. Also I'm quiet until I feel comfortable around people, but once I'm past that I'm the most awesome/annoying person in the world.

Always like to make new friends where possible, though I can be a bit cranky when it comes to starting conversations.

Working on Photography things, boring myself to tears with politics (It interests me, but I don't talk about it to those that are terminally bored by the subject).

I am honest, intelligent, and Silly
What I’m doing with my life
I'm now a semi pro photographer and currently scared out of my wits about it. I will be starting a degree in politics philosophy and economics in October via the Open University. I'm taking the bull by the horns and pushing myself forwards.
Most of the time I can be found pottering around on the internet or out walking in Oxford, usually with my camera. Photography is a good way of keeping myself motivated as I still have a lot to learn about the different techniques. You could say I'm slightly obsessed with photography
My flickr stream can be found here -
I’m really good at
Photography (still a lot to learn), understanding sciencey things, getting computers to behave themselves, building computers and lots of other geeky things I guess.

I am a good listener when my attention hasn't wondered to something else (happens often if I have a camera in my hands). Sometimes give good advice, but I usually say what I want to say then let the person make their own minds up.
The first things people usually notice about me
Blue eyes, bad jokes and sarcasm (my sense of humour is very dry indeed). Usually how quiet I am until I get comfortable around new people. Not sure what else, I'm usually people watching and being oblivious to female attention (my friends have a good laugh about it).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - I have a love for reading, so I will read pretty much anything that takes my fancy. Favourite books (it's a mixture) -
Harry Potter series, The works of J.R.R. Tolkien, The Chronicles of Narnia, His Dark Materials series, Sophie Scholl and the white rose, No Logo, A feast for crows....

TV - Shameless, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doctor Who, Bones, Fringe, and pretty much anything that takes my fancy while flicking through the channels. I rather enjoyed Moffat's and Gatiss's reworking of Sherlock Holmes.

Movies - I love cinema, anything from the latest blockbusters to international film. Favourite films -
The Goonies, Ghostbusters, City of God, Ong Bak, A beautiful mind, The Dark Knight, Frankenstein, various Hammer Horror films, Dr. Strangelove, Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb. If listed all my favourite films I'd be here for a month of Sundays typing.

Music - Having spent my teenage years listening to John Peel on Radio 1, I developed an odd musical taste with a few guilty pleasures. I will listen to anything once. Favourite bands - Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, REM, Sigur Ros, Foo Fighters, Manic Street Preachers, Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, No doubt, A Perfect Circle, Slade, The Beatles, The Smiths, Boxfive, Bat For Lashes
Artists - PJ Harvey, Beth Orton, Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos and a lot more. The more music I can find and enjoy the better...

Food - I'm relearning to cook at the moment, may have a bash at baking at some point. Used to make cakes a lot as a child when I spent my summers at my grandmothers house.
I don't have a particular favourite food aside from British puddings which I should probably refrain from eating.
Six things I could never do without
music, friends, camera, books, L series Lens, glasses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
A lot of things really. I have a childlike wonder about the world around me. I would list the things I think about but I would be here until the next century or longer. I think at a million miles an hour sometimes, which can drive me up the wall.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually in front of a computer or tv or occassionally out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Depression. It sounds scarey and it can be. But I have it mostly under control and will be getting some therapy at last in a few months time to deal with my anxiety issues.

I tend to get irritated when people make assumptions about depressed people or other mental health conditions being crazy weirdos. It's a lot more complex than the tabloid rags like to paint things.
You should message me if
If you managed to get this far, then by all means send me a message if you really want to. I tend to ramble as I love words and finding ways to use them differently.
