My self-summary
I'm a Glaswegian guy who has just moved to London.

My hobbies range from hanging out in pubs (if you can count getting pissed as a hobby) to going to museums and art galleries. I also go to a lot of comedy gigs. Part of my resolution for 2013 is to get involved on the local music scene, so I would love to meet someone who knows more about it. Also, if you can karaoke (turns out it's a verb) that is a big plus.

I am a proper geek. I'm a big movie guy and try to see at least one a week. I love comics, especially the groovier stuff by Grant Morrison and Warren Ellis.
What I’m doing with my life
I moved down to London to work in the TV industry after two years studying it in Glasgow. My great passion is writing, I spend a lot of my free time writing scripts and blogs, and I one day hope to write a Batman movie that will make you say "that Nolan guy had no idea what he was talking about...".

I also work for the BFI IMAX.
I’m really good at
Inventing and contributing to debates over insane hypothetical subjects. For example, "who would win in a fight between a crow and a seagull?"

You would think the crow, as they're more vicious, but then the seagull's got the reach.

I also used to work as a colourist (or a professional colourer-in-er) so not only do I know the names of far more colours than I should, I am an absolute demon at colour coordination.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have red hair, which as every other ginger knows is generally the first thing people will notice.

I'm also much smilier in real life than in photographs.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Currently reading: Sandman by Neil Gaiman and Starman (best comic ever written). Aiming to read: Psychopath Test, Shining Girls.

I love far too many movies to list, but Ghostbusters is my favourite, it's the funniest movie ever made.

Breaking Bad, Community, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Supernatural, Mad Men, Hannibal

Fun., Rolling Stones, My Chemical Romance, Fallout Boy, 80's hair metal, Meatloaf

Indian, Japanese, Mexican
Six things I could never do without
Taco Mazama (mmm... burritos)
My leather jacket
Podcasts (Harmontown!)
Desperados beer
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Just absolute bollocks most of the time. The mechanics of time travel in films takes up a lot of mind space.

Weird trivia. Did you know for example, that all of The Muppets were left handed?
On a typical Friday night I am
Varies. Sometimes I'm at a party, other times I'm chilling out watching movies in my house or at a cinema.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I keep a list of Grand National winners on my phone just in case of accidental time travel.
