My self-summary
Where to begin. Music makes me lose control...I'm fairly eclectic in my tastes. I'm also quite a nerd, I have a not so discrete NPR addiction. Family is most important, and good friends are the family you choose. I'm very lucky to have found the circles I have. Very lucky. I like to think of myself as progressive but it doesn't hold me back from sticking to some very traditional ideas. The people I like to spend time most with are funny, observant and look at the world in a million different ways. I get my exercise on. I love television, indie films, understanding why things are the way they are, hikes, food. Food is delicious. Cooking for people you care about is a hoot. Get me outta this box.
What I’m doing with my life
In a pitfall afflicting millions of American I may or may not have gone to law school. I've found a facet of practice that I enjoy a great deal, but the commute's a bitch! I'm deeply interested in how we go about, and help others to navigate, highly personal choices with respect to the ethics of everyday life and their medical choices. I hope that one day soon that will be the trajectory of professional career. But if not, the world's full of possibilities I'm sure I don't know exist...
I’m really good at
Hmmmm, douchebaggery is a specialty of mine. I'm a pretty good cook. I have moments of comic genius - though I usually am not able to separate the genius from the foolish until I after I speak most times. I'm often able to make solid connections with other people.
The first things people usually notice about me
Sometimes I can be a little loud. And if my game's on I can be a li'l funny.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love reading though I don't do it enough - A Separate Peace. Short stories. Life of Pi. Underground, The Gospel of Thomas. Recently, the Foundation Series. Speaking of which Sci Fi! Yeah that's an exclamation mark. TV...is both shameful and obnoxiously long - too shameful to put into written word. If I hear music and I don't like it - I listen some more. It's led me to love Hugh Masekahla, blue grass, classical, hip-hop (not rap don't get it twisted). Food - just put in on a plate, I'll probably eat it. It's very likely I'll eat it. Bacon!!!! Wine and Beer. PBS. The NFL. 30 for 30. College Hoops.
Six things I could never do without
The fam. Colors. Coffee. NPR. Laughter. Sleep.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I jump around a lot. It's a moment to moment thing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Making friends with beer?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My heart is too often found on my sleeve.
