My self-summary
Pleasant, good humored, and low drama, unless of course I encounter a bad driver, or a lack of parking. Enjoy the kitchen, travel, reading, movies, and inter-galactic horse-play. Try to view the glass as neither half full or half empty, but rather see it as a good holder for loose change and incense. Friends tell me my irreverence for the establishment and mindless cultural traditions is both entertaining and provocative. It just seems the tenor of the times could benefit from a little levity. In the great cultural tradition (sarcasm mixed with some biting wit) of the lost Hebrew tribes, I try to balance my outlook on life and behavior. I also like puzzles, holding hands, and walks on the beach (if the tide isn't too high and the sand fleas aren't biting!).
What I’m doing with my life
Generally, continuing to try to answer the age old question, "What is the meaning of life?" So far, chocolate and a good laugh are high up on the list of probable answers.
I’m really good at
Thinking out of the box, onto a Mobius strip, and sticking it all into a "Bucky Ball." San Francisco seems to be a good place to perfect this technique. As an autodidact I've acquired a fairly large breadth of knowledge, though I'd prefer it were deeper, but it does seem to be sufficient to answer a large number of Jeopardy questions.
The first things people usually notice about me
My irreverence and curly hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors Kurt Vonnegut, Michael Crichton, Bill Maher, Andy Borowitz, Michael Lewis et. al., Dr. Strangelove, Samsara, La Vie en Rose, Chicago, The Artist, early Woody Allen, and many other flicks, good old Rock & Roll, some Blues, Mongolian Throat singing, good modern Pop, and to wash it all down, an omnivorous smorgasbord of good eats and libations.
Six things I could never do without
My eyes (the pair), compassion, a sense of humor for coping, healthy curiosity and wonderment, children's smiles, laughter and questions, and of course, good friends and kitties.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The coming Singularity, and Einstein's remark regarding the infinite stupidity of the human race!
On a typical Friday night I am
Open for adventure and amazement.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm secretly into palindromes.
You should message me if
You truly have a sense of humor, good heart, nice smile, and calm demeanor.
