My self-summary
I run a small business selling products that I make (sorry to be vague, but I like to maintain a little anonymity in the profile!) I'm introverted, but not in that never-leaves-the-house way, more in that way that I tend to talk less and listen more (until I know the person better). I think I like quiet situations more, as I've noticed that I can go out to dinner with a big group of friends, but I'm much more comfortable when a small group of us break off to a coffee shop afterward. Here are some important points:

- Vegetarian (seafood once in a while)
- Animal lover. I'm vegetarian for this reason. I have two cats.
- Tech enthusiast
- Former gamer (mostly just don't have time these days)

I'm in a comitted relationship. I guess you'd call it an open relationship, but I don't feel like I fit in with the polyamorous crowd. It's more like I have an organic view of relationships. I don't want to get married ever, I don't want children, I just want to live and experience. I'm looking for friends like that. Friends, friends with benefits, even romantic relationships, that can just BE. It seems like the most natural thing in the world to me, but it appears to be the rarest of all. I don't really exclude any possibilities except for those that exclude others. Do you want a long term thing? That could happen! Casual fling? I'm open to it, though I prefer to get to know someone first. What I want is to meet people and just be free to explore our connetion, and not to do so with a ton of initial expectations on either side.
What I’m doing with my life
Running an online business. It's quite a lot of work, but does afford me some schedule flexibility.

I'm trying to branch out socially, as running a business the past 5 years has really gotten me out of any kind of scene. I've been having a fun and weird time lately as the straight guy in an LGBTQ circle, making a lot of friends there. The move from the south to the PNW was quite a change and I'm still doing a lot of exploring.

I'm also cooking a ton. Not super new for me, I love to cook! But I've been getting more into vegan cooking, finding new ways to prepare dishes. I've learned that I like making cream soups with coconut milk more than I ever liked cream/milk. Just for example.
I’m really good at
Cooking, selling stuff on the internet, quietly observing before delivering biting commentary.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair. I've got long, thick hair that makes women jealous. I'm not vain, but I've always given myself that one concession. I'll be humble, but I'm allowed to say I have beautiful hair. Damnit.

I've also got about two years worth of beard on my face. It's always clean, styled, and trimmed. Since moving out here, it gets a lot of compliments.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't like this section. I, like a lot of people, have always had a pretty full list here, but I'm changing it. Because I've noticed I blow past it when looking at other peoples' profiles. Honestly? I don't care what books you like. I care who you are as a person, and I don't think your pop culuture preferences are the last word on that subject. Example: My favorite bands of all time are Kamelot, Bjork, and the Beastie Boys. Do you feel like you know me better now? Of course you don't! At most you can figure that I like a wide variety of stuff, which is fair, but also true of most people.

I also find that I can't help judging people by their choices in this section, and it's completely silly. I find most modern country music to be pretty lame. But if you like it, that says absolutely nothing about whether or not I might like YOU! Despite that, I would still see it on your list and think "pssh, that's lame." I would think you're lame for liking Justin Beiber, then click over to my t.A.t.U. Pandora station like that's totally bad ass.

My point is that what you put in this section is ultimately pretty trivial, but we all have a tendency to judge people by these choices whether we want to or not. So I'm not going to read yours. I want to know who you are first, and if I like that person, I'll find our common ground as far as music and movies are concerned. I'm sure we have some.
The six things I could never do without
1. Color
2. Music
3. Games
4. Cultural entertainment
5. Technology
6. Goals
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Women and my company. I admit, I got girl-crazy at 14 and it still hasn't gone away. That's probably true of every man, though we admit it only to varying degrees. As for business, I've got 5 tabs open on my browser right now. 3 are sales figures, one is this one, and the other is Google where I checked the spelling of Mediterranean to talk about my favorite chips above. Since I run my own company, I'm generally at least researching from morning to night. I have a very devoted partner who runs the operations side. Without her love and support and super hard work the whole thing would collapse. And she is usually the one who makes me close up the laptop when it's time to stop working.
On a typical Friday night I am
Not doing much! The way my schedule works out, Saturday is usually my "go out" day. On Saturday I like to get together with friends to go out, usually for something fun and low-key with a little culture involved. I went to a jazz club for the first time recently, and that was a perfect example of what I like. Music, atmosphere, drinks, food, friends. yay!

This might be the best section to mention that while my "drugs" answer is "never," I do enjoy pot now and then. I just feel like that's not exactly "doing drugs." I don't like smoking it tho, so it's still a no on that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I wear my heart on my sleeve. That's both a private thing I'm willing to admit, and a confession that I'm surely willing to admit more.
You should message me if
You're looking for friends, but specifically if you want to go out and do things. If you'be got a similarly organic view of romantic relationships. If you like bars, restaurants, walks, things like that. I'm not really looking for online-only friends. That's all well and good, but I'm a lot more into getting out and having fun than just chatting in e-mail.
