My self-summary
I read good books, play good games, listen to good music, and hang out with good people. I don't really dig the whole corporate, fake business-y thing. I whistle - and sing - a lot. In, like, an annoying falsetto. Some people dig this, and some find it wicked annoying. I think it's really important to be as real as possible as often as possible - if you're trying to fool other people, you're trying to fool yourself, and I appreciate it when people call me out when i'm being a hypocrite. Ironically, I pretend to be excessively friendly and subservient all fucking day at work.

I swear. A lot.

I really wish I could still put that I drive an '89 Caddy. Old girl rusted through (thanks, Michigan roads!) and I'm stuck with a big ol' GMC van at the moment. I make it cool, though. Mostly by pumping the oldies station really loud to scare off teenagers.

Also I have a cat, a badass bug-hunting, stuff-climbing, spider-man kitty cat. I really love her. I'm afraid it's not, however, mutual.

Also! Important side note: "Your Mom" and "That's what she said!" jokes are the absolute peak of humorous discourse, and I will brook no argument to the contrary. ^_^
What I’m doing with my life
I wait tables for a living. It pays the bills, and keeps me on my toes.

In the meantime, I take my obligations to my friends very seriously, and I try not to take my work very seriously at all. They say waiting tables is one of the most stressful jobs out there, so I try to stay relaxed.

Finally breaking into my chosen career with an apprenticeship in radio. Can't wait to get on the air and spit some truth.

I also have a not-so-secret dream to be a stand up comic. =D in reality, that means I watch a lot of stand up comedy.
I’m really good at
Video games. haha ^_^ that doesn't do it justice - I'm of the mind that good games are art, and art needs to be appreciated. I can also hold my own in any discussion on religion, politics, philosophy, but I try not to start those discussions - puts people off, you see. I can write fairly well, and I give fantastic advice (almost all of the time).

Oh and I speak German very well, having spent a year studying it in, you know, Germany. Miss that place somethin' fierce, I'll tell ya.
The first things people usually notice about me
A relaxed, friendly vibe. I try to give it off - sort of exude an aura of relaxed, you know? Relentless goddamn optimism, to the point that people get sick of it.

Also, socks and sandals. I catch a lot of hell for that, especially during the summer, but dude. Try it. Super comfy.

(also khaki shorts, sometimes during the winter. just for a goof.)

I'll call you "dude", or "man" or "bro", even if you're a complete stranger, or a girl.

Man, fuckin' all of it. I could probably stand to lose a couple of pounds off the midsection, but damn. There's so much excellent food, if you know where to look. Like Bubba's burgers, JP's Diner, J&S Hamburg, Stella's, man. everything.

I need to finish this one later, after I take a careful reckoning of all my favorite culture stuff and pare it down to a condensed list. TBE.
Six things I could never do without
1. Those Pop-Ice popsicle things.
2. Good music. I never have to do without it, though, the music in my head is usually better than the stuff I hear day-to-day anyhow.
3. Parmesan cheese.
4. The Joe Rogan Experience.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working. If not, I'm up for whatever - a weekend off is a delightful rarity, but I usually plan on working the weekend, so when I get, like, sunday off, I didn't make any plans, so I usually waste it on the intarwebz.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The first song I memorized entirely was Hotel California, followed closely by a few Beatles songs. If you can't stand that guy who knows the lyrics to every song, out loud, we're gonna have a bad time. That includes show tunes and dubstep. Yeah.

Also, I smoke - pipe tobacco, cigarettes, that sort of thing. I'm not a dick about it, and I'm not a chain-smoker or anything. It's more of a hobby. Also, it prevents me from killing my customers.
You should message me if
You're relaxed about stuff, open-minded and willing to discuss and debate for fun! I think our differences make us real people.

You know why those bastards canceled Firefly, 'cause I sure as hell haven't figured it out.

You ever listened to American Pie and accidentally let slip a tear, or know every single word by heart.

You can deal with "OH MY GOD THAT'S MY FAVORITE _______ EVER" on a daily basis. Books, videos, music. They're all my favorite, depending on the day. I guess a lot of people find that annoying.
The two of us
