My self-summary
The performing arts are what really drive me, whether it's acting, directing, improv, stand up, or poetry slams, I love it all. The creative energy that drives Burlington is a huge part of its charm for me.

Over the last 6-8 months I've been focusing on comedy, I'm a member of the Spark! Improv troupe and I dabble in standup comedy as well. My current projects are acting in a production of The Witches this spring and prepping for directing Nightmare Vermont this fall.

Creativity in general is a huge part of my life, I love finding out what drives people to conceive and create new things, whether art or technology.

Why is this section titled 'My Self-summary,' isn't that kind of redundant?
What I’m doing with my life
I currently work as a software engineer, but I'd hardly say that is 'What I'm doing with my life.'

I'm usually either out doing something in Burlington, usually a band or live performance of some sort, travelling, wandering around the waterfront and bike paths, hosting potlucks and occasionally taking some me time to read.
I’m really good at
telling stories, in conversation and on stage.

I've been involved with productions as a comedian, actor, director, and stage manager throughout Vermont and Upstate New York.

I'm also quite good at my job. I work for a small software company located downtown that installs and implements IT systems at firms throughout the united states. Although my time with each individual client is relatively short, I enjoy leaving their systems better than I found them.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably that I'm saying hi to them. I like talking to people, hearing stories, and finding out what they're passionate about.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
It isn't often I get to sit down with a novel, as most of my reading is devoted to plays, and recently a lot of classic non-fiction surrounding the art of comedy. When I do get to sit down and read I enjoy Historical Fiction and short stories. One of my favourite recent novels is American Gods by Neil Gaiman.

As for movies and tv shows, I don't watch them regularly, but when a friend puts something on I enjoy Archer, Doctor Who, and Historical/Americana related shows such as American Pickers and House Hunters.

As for music I love a number of bands, chiefly Phish. I've been hitting a number of shows each tour for the past few years, but I'm thinking of settling down in lieu of planning some international travel for next year.

That being said my tastes run the gamut, I enjoy REM, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, The Grateful Dead, Moxy Fruvous, The Who, Dispatch, and many sound tracks such as The Book of Mormon, Chicago, Seussical, and Les Mis.

I am one of the few people I know who can go from a capella to funk, to symphonic rock, to Nightwish. So if your tastes are all over the map as well, then I'm your man :D

Locally I love the Dave Grippo, Cats Under The Stars (I try to get out to Dead Set every few weeks...) Barika, and basically anyone with a good horn section :)

Food wise I enjoy the good stuff, trying new and interesting restaurants. I really like the Farmhouse, Pizzeria Veritas, Misery Loves Co, El Cortijo, and Bueno Y Sano for something quick! Also if you've never had Hongs Dumplings on church st you're really missing out.
The six things I could never do without
1. My Friends
2. Performing
3. My family
4. Dogs
5. Laughter
6. Good Music/Concerts/Festivals
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my current or next creative project.

I like spending time thinking about the world around me; looking at trends in politics, society, technology, comedy, entertainment, music and how all of these different aspects of society influence each other and all of us.
On a typical Friday night I am
usually seeing some sort of live music, a play or getting out to other events around town.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
my parents got me a birthday cake with Oscar the Grouch on it when I was a toddler even though I was scared to death of Oscar the Grouch....
You should message me if
you have a unique, funny, interesting story to share.

Also if you want to show me some hiking trails.
