My self-summary
Yo! What's up? Welcome to my internet page!

So, self-summary. I fit into a bunch of Portland stereotypes - rock climb, play cello, drink coffee, make art, fix bikes, climb mountains, write, do yoga, don't do TV. Hate being put in a box, but always working to improve my costume box. Originally from Vermont, got here via Eugene and Seattle. Somewhere in my past there's a small New England liberal arts college and a master's degree in geology. Now it's like you already know me!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a writer and small-business owner. Always working on finding the balance between being a work in progress, being perfectly whole, and eating ice cream 'til I puke (EDIT: I mostly gave up sugar *tremble*. My life is better now, but I miss ice cream.). Technically a yoga teacher, but mostly a yoga-doer. Previous odd-jobs in outdoor education, science research, oil painting, and green building.
I’m really good at
- Teaching kids to poop in a hole they dug.
- Baking three things. (Recently reduced to two things, see EDIT: Sugar)
- Estimating the time of day to within two hours.
- Being accidentally sober.
- Avoiding excel spreadsheets.
- Savasana.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Russian epics, Infinite Jest, To The Lighthouse
The Jungle Book the movie, I should see more movies
Bach Cello Suites, Mississippi John Hurt
Beeeeeeaans, Peanut butter, Avocados

Enjoying this a lot lately.
The six things I could never do without
The kleptomaniac didn't get the pun because he took everything literally.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
neuroscience, Buddhism, rock climbing, paint and color, proprioception, writing, when is the next time I can eat, yoga, the moon, wtf is up with these clouds, dreams, who we are vs. what we do, making out, subjective vs. objective reality, where is the road to babe city, getting that perfect house to fix up
On a typical Friday night I am
You should message me if
You're passionate about something. Not so important what it actually is, more that the energy is there. You value communication. I'm looking for someone who wants to make out and develop intimacy, but is also down to talk about it.

I'm attracted to people who are smart, athletic, driven, and compassionate, and I try to be all those things. I'm more into silly and authentic than ironic and cool. Oh, and I'm a generally radical and handsome dude, so it would be great if you are a radical and handsome lady.

It may be worth noting: I'm somewhat recently out of a relationship and spending a solid chunk of time working on my self. Not looking to jump into anything too big right away.
