My self-summary
I'm a fairly easy-going guy, from a background rooted both in the arts and in technology. I spent most of my youth on stage or behind it, or, on too many occasions, both, concurrently.

I am a total geek and make no apologies for that. I knew I wanted to be a computer programmer at age four, after seeing Tron when it was released in '82. This likely also explains my love for all games and technologies that call back to that era.

Oh, also something of a science buff, particularly astronomy, so I REALLY dig stargazing, and can always be found out with my camera on a clear night if there's a meteor shower or eclipse.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a passion for photography, and have been bitten pretty hard by the shutterbug as of late. I've also re-kindled (literally) my life as a performance artist, re-discovering fire dancing, street performance, and hitting local outdoor venues.
I’m really good at
Solving problems using simple solutions.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the very first thing would be my tendency to treat everyone as if I've known them forever. I am always starting conversations with the first person I can find whom I think will actually provide a stimulating response, whether I'm well acquainted with them or not. Oh yeah, and I'm something of an extrovert when it comes to my personal interests and hobbies... I am constantly adorned by little trinkets which represent different aspects of my life.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Wow... big blank to fill. I'm very much into science fiction / fantasy movies and books, with a tendency to hit the classics. I also very frequently peruse the foreign film section on Netflix, and have a pretty good knack for finding something worth watching.

My musical tastes are as eclectic as it gets, though I'm currently consumed by a years-long obsession with Lindsey Stirling and Fever Ray. I do also have a penchant for world music artists such as Loreena McKennitt, and electronica groups like Information Society and Daft Punk. Of course, anything that Maynard James Keenan or Mike Patton have done (Tool/APC/Puscifer, and Faith No More/Mr Bungle, respectively) will always stay on heavy rotation in my playlists as well.

As far as food goes, I am a pretty hardcore foodie, and usually my second or third date will end up starting in my kitchen, as I love to cook. I was Paleo for a few years, although not as maniacal about it as some. I've put on a few pounds since leaving it and will likely be back on by the time this is being read. One of my favorite things to do is introduce people to my latest culinary masterpiece which fits that lifestyle and is actually, you know.. PALATABLE!
Six things I could never do without
My camera
My music collection
A kitchen in which to cook
A venue in which to perform
A place to sit and think
Tea, Earl Grey, hot
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I am always thinking about my next creative project, with the exception of those times I am thinking about my current one.
On a typical Friday night I am
Wow... another hard one to answer... I could be downtown catching (or performing in) a show at one of the local dives, or in a movie theater alone or with friends... I am just as likely to be at home playing Atari as I am under the bridge spinning fire... hard to nail down, I suppose.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am the most extroverted and adventurous agoraphobe you will ever meet.
You should message me if
Hrm. I guess you should message me if you want to go hang out on the walking bridge, or grab a guitar (acoustic, please) and have a bit of a jam session, or if you would like to go on a creative outing somewhere, or just grab a cup of coffee (or, in my case, tea) with someone who enjoys good conversation.
