My self-summary
Half-Jewish, half-Irish. In other words, sunlight and open bars are all kinds of trouble for me.

Almost always down for going to bar trivia, comedy, museums, sporting events, or music.

I try not to get fat, but I like ice cream a lot.

You won't find me at a steakhouse, but I do eat meat sometimes.

I'm pretentious enough to talk about why soccer is superior to football, but not pretentious enough to call soccer "football."
What I’m doing with my life
I work in IT in a big insurance company. I find things to get passionate about, but I'd be lying if I said I was passionate about the job as a whole. I don't love computers but I find human-computer interaction compelling.

I think the only real way that the job relates to my personality is this: I have extra high sympathy for naive cluelessness, but extra low sympathy for arrogant ignorance.
I’m really good at
Impersonations, puns, adaptation
The first things people usually notice about me
My laugh, and that I look like Sam Rockwell.

favorite use of visual symbolism in a movie: The Conformist

sitcom: I'm Alan Partridge

go-to music genre: folk

Food: I love trying new foods when I'm not busy eating more corn, beans, and avocados than the average Mexican

Books: My favorite novels that I read recently are A Visit From the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan and Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Six things I could never do without
Natural light and air
Other People
jokes and impressions
bread and circuses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to avoid boredom while simultaneously avoiding burning out.

Which professional soccer team has the most hilarious sponsor on their jerseys.

On a typical Friday night I am
making out with you?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've done tai chi to Hall & Oates, I have a man crush on Thierry Henry, and I get migraines.

I once left "I'm ready to delete myself from this site" up in this profile for months before it hit me how fake and weird that was.
You should message me if
You're a goofball.

You live kind of near me.

You like trees and animals.

You actually like yourself, rather than fluctuating between loving and hating yourself.

You actually get excited about interesting movies and interesting drinks.

You'd fly to a city that one of us has never been to for just a weekend.

You often think about deleting yourself from this site.
The two of us
