Update: After nearly 4 years of searching, I have found the Toast Ghost. Said ghost has agreed to drinks. Will keep you posted on how things progress.

Originally from the Toast Capital in eastern Washington, I've now lived in Portland for about 22 years. Have been on a mission for nearly 4 years to find the Belmont street artist known as The Toast Ghost.

I've owned a successful recording studio for the past 19 years and managed to live off music for that whole time. (Some notable people I've worked with are Wilco, and David J (Bauhaus, Love & Rockets).

I'm very interested in alternative & renewable fuels, and although I don't drive much, when I do it is on completely recycled vegetable oil.

I'm a long time ethical vegan (20+ years), and I do it for resource conservation reasons.

I've also been in bands that tour quite a bit throughout the years so there's a good chance I've actually been to your hometown if it wasn't Portland. (I'm a bass player)

------> Intense blue eyes, and when I wear this one specific coat, I get compliments on it all night. It's a spring / fall coat though. I probably need a winter one that commands a similar amount of attention.

Books: Non-fiction mostly, but also {books} Dune, The Mars Trilogy, Sex at Dawn, The Ethical Slut, From the Fryer to the Fuel Tank {Writers} Kundera, Bukowski, Kerouac, Nietzsche, Elizabeth Hickey, Kim Stanley Robinson and that very misunderstood woman who had a 2 decade long affair with Mr. Branden. Just finished reading Norwegian Wood by Murakami, and it blew me away.

Movies: (I try to rent from Movie Madness and avoid streaming to keep our artist cash flow local) I'm going to break movies into 3 subcategories (film, directors, actors/actresses)

Shows: I quit watching TV when they yanked Twin Peaks off the air. I also never owned one until a year ago and turn it on only a couple times a month - only to watch a DVD (or VHS) -- BSG, Doctor Who, Big Love, Firefly.

Music: (I try to buy vinyl to put more money in the artist's pockets and keep our music cash flow local)-- Blonde Redhead, The Cure, Bjork, MBV, PJ Harvey, Bauhaus, Coco Rosie, Phantogram, Nick Cave, Grimes, Azure Ray, Exitmusic, Black Heart Procession, The XX, Neurosis, Hella, Big Business, Melvins, Tom Waits, Afghan Whigs, Replacements, Kronos Quartet, Mingus, A Place to Bury Strangers, Battles, Russian Circles.

Food: Local. Organic. Preferably bought from a small business such as Food Fight or People's Co-op. I am a good vegan cook and I make amazing soups. -----> TOAST, carbonated beverages, Aardvark sauce, rhubarb, quinoa, kale, vegan sushi, Ethiopian, the spicier the better!

Restaurants: Portland does this so well. {Top 3: Portobello, Farm Spirit, Blossoming Lotus.} Also: Bye & Bye, Sweet Hereafter, Conquistador, Harlow, The Sudra, Sushi Love, Dove Vivi, Canteen, Hungry Tiger, Sizzle Pie, Prasad, Miho, Homegrown Smoker Vegan BBQ, Hammy's, Hotlips, Laughing Planet, Harvest, Dick's Kitchen, Dots, Paradox, Juniors, Starbar, AND cafe, Vita, Papa G's, Van Hanh, Bonfire, Andina, Farm Spirit, Juniper, Killingsworth Dynasty, Blackwater, Nicholas, Ya Hala, Proper Eats, Los Gorditos, Bette Lucas, Wolf & Bears, Red & Black, Sweet Pea. I spend a lot of time thinking about
My mind is a busy place. I'm constantly thinking and dreaming and innovating and wishing I could live forever so I could achieve all of these things.

How many forms of bigotry such as sexism, racism and homophobia are generally rejected by rational people, yet height supremacy is widely accepted and quite the norm with that same group of people.

My favorite technology advancement day dream is teeth cleaning nano robots. I mean how cool would it be to have these tiny little guys that cleaned your teeth as accurately as the dentist every single night. You'd never have to worry about your teeth again!

Cryonics - I'm ridiculously curious about the future, but how crazy would it be to wake up in a strange time and not know anyone?

On a typical Friday night I am
I like to be social, but many times I have to work weekends too, so it just depends on the friday. I have a completely random work schedule so Fridays don't really mean much to me other than it is a night when more of my friends tend to be out than other nights. If am out and about however, there is a good chance you'll find me at the best spot on Belmont, the new Nest.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm named after a suicide that happened in 1966.

My grandma went everywhere on earth, even Antarctica. She wanted a note on her ashes that said she never made it to the moon. I told her, don't worry Grandma, your ashes ARE going to the moon. They are in my safe, ready to do just that, once it's a bit more affordable. I think these private space companies will make that a reality sooner than later.

I've never made it through more than a sip of coffee.

I'm undertaking the crazy journey of watching every Doctor Who episode since the first in 1963. This is extremely difficult because the BBC actually threw away the tapes for a lot of the early Doctor Who episodes so you have to watch recreations. I'm up to 1983 now.

Some of the photo captions are in Danish. I just went there (Copenhagen) and am a bit obsessed.
