My self-summary
I'm a programmer and entrepreneur. Before that I got degrees in everything that I thought was interesting, specifically environmental studies, geography, linguistics, and urban planning. I might want to go back to collect some more. Any suggestions? I've lived about half of my life in the Netherlands, half in the Seattle area of the United States. Perhaps someday I will spend a little time living in a third country (my friend has invited me to live in his guest bedroom in Bucharest!).

I really like bouldering and climbing and running until I'm exhausted and realize I still have to get home. I used to be good at bowling and pool, now I do crazy shots to hide my lack of skills :)

The personality section has a big list of adjectives that describe me pretty well. Compassionate, friendly, rational, confident, ambitious I definitely agree with. I don't know when I became suave though. Maybe that'll kick in soon. INTJ for the fans of personality tests.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I generally read books of the science fiction, fantasy, and non-fiction of the political/historical variety.

I like smart science fiction (The Matrix) and touching dramas (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Her, Stranger Than Fiction), or just any movie that has a unique perspective (Fight Club). Sometimes a comedy. I like going to the sneak every week to get a nice mix of movies :)

I mostly watch comedy shows like Whose Line is it Anyway?, Parks and Recreation, Community, and How I Met Your Mother. Breaking Bad was awesome. I also watch House of Cards and Game of Thrones with friends. I'm currently binge watching Girls.

I like a little bit of a lot of stuff. This year I discovered The National, it's amazing. I've gone to see Muse twice, great stuff. I used to really like Rammstein, Infected Mushroom, and VNV Nation. And Yann Tiersen is beautiful.

I don't have much time for gaming, but I recently rediscovered Age of Empires. That's a fun nostalgia trip. When I was young I played MS-Dos games and Clusterball and Tomb Raider with my dad.

Mexican food is amazing, I average more than one burrito per day :) My dad makes the best tandoori. One of my childhood nicknames was the great pasta boy.
