My self-summary
I read, travel, listen to NPR, watch films, love to learn new things, gardening and more. Former pizza delivery guy, repo man, beekeeper, Peace Corps volunteer, property manager, hotel manager, marketing manager, (yeah I can manage!) and more.

If the words faith, god or huskers appear in your profile then I'm not the one for you. While I respect your faith and love for the huskers, that's not something I share your affinity for. I say this in the effort of not wasting your time, if that's what's important to you.
What I’m doing with my life
Working on fixing up an old house among other projects. Let me know if you'd like to come help paint. I recently became a licensed foster parent.
I’m really good at
Comparing items in a supermarket, beekeeping, traveling cheaply in Asia, retaining interesting and often irrelevant information.
The first things people usually notice about me
No idea
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some of my favorite authors not necessarily in order of precedence: T.H. White, J.R.R. Tolkien, Ayn Rand, Thoreau, Theroux (Paul), E.F. Schumacher, Will and Ariel Durant, David Sedaris, Harper Lee and many more plus anyone who can write as well, and as clearly, as do the writers of The Economist. Really too many books and movies to list..
I don't have a TV but I do like films and some shows..BSG, Lost, Firefly, West Wing, The Newsroom. Films..I like classics, 12 Angry Men, Casablanca, etc. Sci Fi/Fantasy LOTR, suspense, action..I'll watch most anything other than horror or dumb comedy..anything with Jim Carey I would hate.
Food - love hot and spicy. I challenge you to eat anything hotter than I can. Thai, Indian, Mexican and Italian are at the top of my list... although two of the best meals I've ever had were in Macau and Istanbul so I'm up for most anything. Anything fresh out of the garden is also great, as is sushi.
Six things I could never do without
a valid passport
clean water
intellectual stimulation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
global issues
mundane nonsense
On a typical Friday night I am
The same person I am on Tuesday.
