As Dr. Seuss said, "We’re all a little weird. And life is weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love.”
But I'm nice and respectful. Take care everyone.
I live a quiet life, love to bake and am always searching for the ultimate cheesecake, muffin, brownie or pie recipe, love to play hockey and follow hockey and of course there's always movies to go (always wanting to know what the newest and greatest movie is going to be - can't wait for the next Ironman, Avengers, Captain America, or any other science fiction, rom-com (I think Sandra Bullock is one great actress) and action movies - but I don't do horror movies) and spy novels to read (sadly my favourite author, Tom Clancy, just died). I love my garden and obsess about my lawn, tomato and pepper patch during the summer. I love listening to the oldies and crooners especially in the evenings on Jewel 88.5 FM (a great station). I'm not into snowmobiling, hunting or fishing at all. I don't watch a huge amount of TV other than my few favourite channels such as The Weather Network (my job and activities keep outside quite a bit), Space (hey, we've all got to watch the latest Dr. Who episode or see what new movies are coming), the various Discovery Channels, and, yes I am admitting this, I do watch W Network (I get great ideas from watching Candice, but somehow my execution of those ideas wouldn't be as good as hers) (not to mention her budget).
So, I hope that this resonates with a special lady out there who might take a chance on meeting a great guy.
Favourite movies - love science fiction, rom-com's (I mean, who doesn't love Sleepless in Seattle or You've Got Mail), animated (love movies like Finding Nemo) and action movies (and yes I do like Bruce Willis, and Jason Statham movies, love the Iron Man series of movies). I also love anything with Sandra Bullock (give her the Oscar now for Gravity, outstanding performance), Tom Hanks, Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow. Of course, the Marvel and DC Comics Universe on the silver screen (who doesn't love Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, be honest, LOL).
Food - most anything goes except for fish/sushi.
I don't watch a huge amount of TV but I do watch Dr. Who and Hockey Night in Canada (lot's of time on a Saturday night, until I find that special someone), BBC, Deutsche Welle and of course Leafs TV and the NHL Network. And I absolutely love the various Kia hamster commercials, very well done and hilarious.
Life is too short to waste it on bad coffee and I can't live without my French Press (ditto for the tea pot as well, equal time here), LOL.
My family - they are the center of my world
My goalie equipment and playing hockey (playing goal is so easy conceptually (I mean, why not just catch the puck, right?) but oh so difficult in execution, LOL)
My garden and gardening
My French press, KitchenAid mixer, Cuisinart, recipe file, spring-form, whoopie pie and scone pans, my pie plates and my King Arthur Flour, Penzy's spices catalogue and Cook's Illustrated, America's Test Kitchen and Southern Living magazines and books on cooking, gardening and hockey
Strawberries/raspberries/peaches/ice cream/chocolate/good coffee and tea
Hanging out at Starbucks, Coffee Culture or Second Cup hunting for that great special cup of coffee or tea (notice that I didn't mention McDonald's, Timmy's or Country Style, LOL) - OOPs that's way too much in the list, oh well.
I hope that once you read the above, that you'll maybe take a chance and send me a message. Hopefully, we'll meet for a nice coffee and conversation and just maybe you'll give a decent and special guy a chance. All the best to everyone who's ventured to this point. Take care.
