I am very passionate and driven and am looking for someone who is just as passionate. I'm definitely the clown of my group of friends and always have been. Laughing is huge. If you laugh with me and laugh often then we are golden.

I have traveled so extensively and have met so many interesting people along the way that I'm filled with stories. My friends are awesome and love to hear the stories but it's always nice to create and share more stories with that one person who means the most.
My parents are still married after 43 years and despite normal marriage complications they are still very much in love so I was taught that love conquers all as long as you know that love does NOT conquer all. If you understand what that means, we would get along. It may sound cheesy I guess, but I'm really looking to find someone with the strength, independence and ambition of joan of ark. I'm really just looking for someone I can share triumphs with and be my best friend.
I am always looking for new ways to educate myself about the world and I love languages, film, strange food and traveling. I'm socially responsible, and with every day that goes by I realize how little I know and the more it excites me to keep learning more and more and inhaling life, with all the good and bad that comes with it.
I'd like someone to explore with and be fascinated and inspired by. Someone who can inspire me will have my total respect and love. I love being outdoors as often as possible and scuba dive, rock climb, ice climb, kayak, and I just got my very first sailing permit. I sail as often as I can and need someone to crew on these capris I'm on so I take friends often.
I speak Spanish and Portuguese and I have lived in Spain, Chile, Colombia and Brazil. I've been a work-aholic for a long time because I love the work I do but now that I have finally built something, it's finally nice to share it with someone who actually lives in this country but preferably with someone who is multilingual or has traveled beyond just normal tourism to actually get to know the people and places they have visited and someone who wants to someday show their kids all the amazing people, foods, music, dance, clothing, and life in general that the many cultures of the world has to offer.
I put together a benefit concert called Make an Impact a couple years ago that incorporated music from all over the world, fashion, and art. It took me 4 months to produce and captures the essence of me visually and musically better than words can. Every band, piece of art, the set, the designer, the dancer/models, and even the crew I hunted for meticulously myself and I'm proud of the result.
I'm a photographer with a big focus on people in marginalized areas of the world but I'm learning new styles in fashion and art now too.
almost anything KCRW plays, and I listened to a LOT of NPR (especially This American Life. One of the greatest radio/tv media broadcasts ever created) and also PRI. I'm also a huge supporter of Artists for Human Rights.
As for music.....thievery corporation, chromeo, yacht, ray lamontagne, bebe, rodrigo and gabriela, eastern conference champions, estopa, the xx, quantic, manu chau, jarabe de palo, pacha massive, bitman and robin, brazilian girls, the cure, coldplay, the shins, caetano veloso, bebel gilberto, paco de lucia, adele, the pinker tones, amalia, chambao, empire of the sun, amy winehouse, antibalas, and so much more. Music is very much a part of my life, the movies I make, the stories I tell, music, music, music. I only wish I could play. I played the alto sax for 4 years, but I finally realized I'm much more of a visual artist than an audio one.

you want to go sailing, scuba diving or any sort of outdoor adventure that I haven't done but you think I should try or if you want to go wine tasting in santa ynez, napa or even better...tuscany, chile, argentina or simewhere mostly undiscovered. And even if you don't drink wine, you appreciate it anyway.
