My first solo adventure across the world to Bali was in 1997. That trip changed my life in miraculous ways. Once on a layover in Taiwan, I started a conversation with an exceptional young man dressed in traditional Thai clothing. That's where I was headed. He gave me fabulous tips on what to do and where to stay to get off the beaten path. Travel still beckons. Are you the soul mate to share life's journey with me?
Exercise is important. Got to keep my girlish figure, don't you know? I want to take care of the vehicle, so my chassis gives a good, long ride. How's your mileage? Breakfast is outside under the trees, listening to the birds and setting a positive attitude for the day. I count my blessings. I'm looking for that special someone to add to my list.
Give me some blues music and I can lose myself to the rhythm as I move my body in uninhibited abandon. I love watching live musicians strum their guitars and sing their hearts out at house concerts. We could be having dinner downtown before attending the symphony. How about a picnic on a red checked blanket at the park? Variety is the spice of life.
I peruse the movie schedule for foreign flicks, human-interest stories or art films like the ones at River Oaks Theater or the MFA. Those can stimulate in-depth heart to heart conversations of philosophy; psychology and personal interactions as I look into the eyes of my beloved over a candlelight dinner, hold hands and listen to your perspective of the world.
