My self-summary
I grew up on a farm in the rural US, once lived in Seattle and now do again after living in London for 3 years. Many of my best friends are here in Seattle and it has been great to be so close to them again.

In my free time I am a pretty social person and like hitting shows or just chilling over a beer. I can also be a bit of an introvert and will admit that I can get kind of shy in large gatherings. Sometimes I just need a movie night.

I am a big fan of living local. Since I have moved back I have stayed away from buying a car. This gets difficult when it is sunny outside. I take the bus or bike to work. I will also probably walk to anywhere in the city so long as I have time enough to do it.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a director at an IT company and oversee a fairly large team. I really like my job and find it fulfilling, but that doesn't stop me from trying to figure out what is next. I want to learn a new language or maybe take some sort of cooking class.

I have not been back in Seattle for a year now and have enjoyed that time. The jet-setter life in London was good, but it just never felt like I was going to find someone meaningful to be with and that is what I am looking for.

I travel extensively and do so to experience what it is to live in other countries and go up in their tall things. I am looking for someone who wants to accompany me on these adventures. Next stop is back to London which will be my first time back since the move.
I’m really good at
I am really good at making others laugh. I am generally funny with a quick wit. It doesn't hurt that I have my own fair share of quirks thrown in.

I am also really good at breaking down problems. It has served me well in work and relationships since it makes me a good listener and a go-to person for advice. I will admit that times this causes me to over think simple things and in those instances I kind of wish I could turn it off.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm tall at 6'4", I have red cheeks and I have a deep booming voice. So yeah I kind of stand out in a crowd. This is good for people remembering you. Bad for you if crime is your chosen profession.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I try to balance between classics like Catch-22, historical non-fiction like biographes and lighter stuff like Chuck Palahniuk.

I spend a good amount of time reading the economist too in order to keep up to speed with the world.

Fight Club, Big Lebowski, Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy, The Wrong Guy, Trainspotting, Dark City, Tommy Boy. I like a wide variety, but these are one I would certainly watch anytime and anywhere.

Music has guided some of my life decisions like moving to Seattle and London. Bloc Party, Placebo, The Smiths, The Pixies, Joy Division, Blur, Interpol, MGMT are some of my favorite bands.

I also enjoy going to shows be they big or small and can say I have seem most of my favorite bands live.

I am a midwestern boy at heart which means many things I like probably aren't that good for you. I tend to prefer simple things done well although I did miss the Sushi from Seattle and do enjoy the occasional dalliance with upscale eateries as well.
Six things I could never do without
1. My US passport for travel.
2. Legs for walking around the city, I walk a lot.
3. My bike for cruising to far out places.
4. My ipod or iphone for listening to all my favorite albums.
5. Skype for keeping touch with friends.
6. Laptop for maintaining my life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about the weekend. Where I should go? What I should do? Should I leave the city? Should I leave the country? How do I catch up on sleep? Can I really survive on that little sleep? Is it bad to see sunshine through the window and not run toward it? Which park should I get sunburnt in?
On a typical Friday night I am
Coordinating with my friends and trying to figure out if we are going to stay in and watch a movie, get a drink at a bar or find a show to go to.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
... is that I have put way too much thought into what I would even answer on this. I am fairly open about my faults and such, but not open to the world.
