My self-summary
I spend most of my time being pleasantly furious, or catching up on my reading, which runs the gamut from sociological theory to history to graphic novels. I'm smart and like to talk, and I like other people who are smart and like to talk. I have a degree in anthropology, but that's more for entertainment. I'm teaching English now, and this is my third country to get hired in, after South Korea and Vietnam. Now, I'm trying to learn Polish (which is SO HARD), and set up my life here.

My outlook on life is probably best described as a mixture of shamanism, Buddhism, and quantum physics. I am really left-of-center and I like it that way.

I am passionate, creative, and really funny
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching English, which I've come to enjoy, actually. Learning Polish. Developing my social circle and laying down roots in this lovely city. Searching for good Mexican food.
I’m really good at
Remembering things really well, talking your ear off blah blah blah.
The first things people usually notice about me
My laugh, I suppose. Maybe my enthusiasm. Maybe my boobies. I have no idea. :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors: Joseph Campbell, Allen Moore, Neil Gaiman, Harlen Ellison, Fitzgerald, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Tom Robbins, Pema Chodron, Carl Sagan, the list is long and ridiculous.

Movies: Amelie, The Secretary, American Beauty, V for Vendetta, Khadak, Cosm, Bladerunner, anything from Studio Ghibli...Ya know what, this could get messy. I have good taste and don't like The Fast and the Furious. Does that help?

Music: Ani Difranco, Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse, Corb Lund, Florence and the Machine, Zola Jesus, Kings of Convenience, Ok Go, Death Cab for Cutie, Gogol Bordello, Iron and Wine, Flogging Molly, the Decemberists, Sage Francis, Saul Williams. etc etc.

Food: Sushi tastes like Jesus. A good curry or Nutella is appreciated too.
The six things I could never do without
1. Good conversation
2. Adventure
3. Snow boots!
4. Goals
5. Friends
6. Love, twwoo wuv.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Spiritual issues, psychology, the nature of reality, where I'll end up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out at a new pub with friends, out at an old pub with friends, or staying in watching some ridiculously educational documentary with the boy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't really miss America. Who knew?
You should message me if
You're not a total creepass. And you've got something interesting to say.
