My self-summary
I sometimes feel like a grown up kid from Goonies or another goofball 80's teen comedy adventure. I'm an Oakland native and am back from a stint in New York. I work as an arborist (tree climber) and would spend everyday in trees if I could. I lived in Humboldt county for many years in homesteader\ranching world and worked on forest conservation- not pot. Loyalty to my good friends, family and projects rules my life. Work fills in the rest. When I get really old I might want to take up blacksmithing or vend flowers from a handcart.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I'm designing and building outdoor classrooms in public schools for a non-prophet. I have a tree care buisness but have been doing various building projects as of late. I sometimes get sidetracked into a art adventure and just finished a cabin in remote Alaska with a friend. We just got back from a month of enjoying it for the first time. Exploring weird remote areas is a hobby. Im masculine and am not the tight pants or geeky type if that what you like.
I’m really good at
Helping friends, listening, sketching, knots and rigging, mapping, hand written letters, navigating new areas, building things, growing food/flowers, brushing my teeth and tying my shoes. I've been told that I carry a peaceful and supportive energy. I love cooking, and courtship.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably broad shoulders and also a giant hyena on a chain. He's for protection from alien abduction. One of those is true.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Book- Life and Death of Great American Cities
Movies- Lawless
Shows- Struggling musicians -
Music- Bluegrass, Funk anything to attempt a boogie
Food- Ramen, Thai, berserk salads
The six things I could never do without
A garden, a crisp pen, mustard, plans for next trip out of Oakland
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My highest use, tomorrows tool list, how to juggle all the facets of life. Where my favorite shirt went, I think about how to meet and interface with the kind people I enjoy when everyone's staring at their phones.
On a typical Friday night I am
exhausted but heading out for dinner with my crew.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was in Cub Scouts, I accidentally got a flaming arrow stuck in my neighbors roof shingles. I shot it straight up in the air to see what would happen. -not really sure how that was an idea. It went out on its own.. wtf
You should message me if
You aren't looking for prey, mean, or wear high heels too often. -you want to picnic, plant garlic, mushroom hunt, , show me weird SF, or hang out in a bookstore. -you want to meet a new potential friend as another possibility. Feel free to inquire about a bad joke. I gotz em.
