My self-summary
********I have met some really great people on okCupid....and I have met some pretty psycho people. Due to the latter, I prefer to email/chat online for a few days before moving on to text and/or calls. If this bothers/offends you, please keep moving**********

Ahhh...filling these things out reminds me of the 'what did you do this summer' essays from school. Everyone trying to outwrite everyone else. :) What can you really say about yourself in these little boxes?

I am a quiet person who is frequently labeled as shy. Which is about as far from the truth as you can get. I am quiet and an observer. I am open and try to be as honest as I can with people. That doesn't mean you'll get my life story on a first date.....just means I'm comfortable with who I am, and don't try to be someone I'm not. I have a dry sense of humor and try to find laughter where ever I can....even at my own expense. I think it's good to be able to laugh at yourself. :)

I do have a few large tattoos and plans for a few more...so if you're not into ink...I may not be the one for you. ;-)

I'm pretty easy going and fairly laid back most of the time. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music (everything from country to classical),and reading anything I can get my hands on. I've been a voracious reader since I was 3 years old. I read anything from sci-fi to westerns. I enjoy most types of music, with bluegrass and folk holding a special place in my heart. I love the ocean and anything outdoors...hiking, walking, boating, camping.

I started running again last year and I am finding that I love it more than before. It's fantastic stress relief! I've got a few 5ks under my belt now, and I' was hoping to move up to a 10k or a half this fall....but stress fractures have put me back at square one with training. I also eat pretty clean most of the time, My health is important to me and I'd like to find someone who feels the same way. With that being said, I am not a gym rat...and I am very much a work in progress. I'm not into gimmicks/fad diets....I want to get healthy the right way...even though it takes longer.

An ideal match for me is an animal lover, someone who doesn't mind being ruled by his pet (or mine! LOL!), someone who enjoys spending time at home....but still knows how to have a good time out, someone who knows who he is and what he wants, and doesn't mind a woman with the same qualities. An open minded individual who isn't afraid to try new things and go outside their comfort zone sometimes. I would like someone who is open to the possibility of children one day in the future. I don't mind a man with children, and would like a man who feels the same. Someone who understands the pressures and limitations that having children creates. Like that you can't just meet up on a school night when you have kids. :) A sense of humor is important...laughter can make a crappy day into something special.

And as cliche as it sounds....I'm more interested in what's on the inside of the package. A physical attraction is a must for any relationship...but I firmly believe that a person's values, personality, actions, etc. can really make or break their attractiveness.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I want out of life
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually a quiet night at home. Either alone with a glass of wine and a book, or game night with the kiddo.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
"In our minds, love and lust are really separated. It's hard to find someone that can be kind and you can trust enough to leave your kids with, and isn't afraid to throw her man up against the wall and lick him from head to toe.” ~Tori Amos
