My self-summary
If anyone wants to show me around and reteach me how to surf, I'd be so down! I'm insanely awkward. Sorry. (Actually, no, I'm not.) I'm a geek and a poet and a professional organizer-politician [behind the scenes type (not in a Frank Underwood way, if that's what you're thinking)]. I was once told that I'm a firework and I think that's a pretty decent description. It makes sense if you really know me, anyway.

I am young, scrappy, and hungry
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a professional Democrat and my career's pretty huge for me and takes up a lot of my time. Sometimes I paint things, sometimes I lift things. I also run a little bit, climb inside (not outside yet, because I do not trust my ability to not fall and crack my head open), and binge-watch TV shows. Also, brunch is the best.
I’m really good at
campaigning, organizing, writing. Also, taking care of the people I love. I'm a pretty decent cook, I've heard.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a lot of energy and am pretty loud, some men say that I'm intense or I'm insane.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
V for Vendetta, Wall-E, Harry Potter, Memento, Hook, Stardust, Stranger than Fiction, Dark Knight, Watchmen, the Majestic, Fun with Dick and Jane, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, The Breakfast Club, Airplane, Caddyshack, Network, Juno, Moulin Rouge, Chicago, Rent, My Favorite Year, Gangs of New York, Ricochet in Reverse, Amelie, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, the Graduate, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Pacific Rim

So if you could recommend me something new that I'd like, that'd be great!

Six things I could never do without
I'm pretty low-maintenance, but it's pretty important for me to both be working and in regular contact with my friends, but you know, also food, water, air, shelter, vaccines, and electricity
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the campaign, the state of the country and what I can do about it, where my friends are at (mentally) Southern Nights fireflies mythologies adventures, kisses, the panopticon
On a typical Friday night I am
probably working, having drinks with friends, or doing art at home. If you want to spice up my Friday night, I'd certainly welcome it!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't actually know who Tip O'Neil is. Sometimes I get them confused with Tipper Gore, but most of the time, I'm just faking it.
You should message me if
you just think I sound cool,
the 08 election wasn't the first election you participated in (or the 16 one, Jesus Christ),
or you want to get Indian food and go to an art museum and stuff!

**STRAIGHT DUDES: I get that being on this site can be kinda like shouting into the void for you guys, so I'm going to meet you halfway and try to respond to all of you, even if it's just an explanation of why it's not working for me. So, I want you to meet me halfway and understand that the girls on here have the exact opposite problem that you do. The volume we get is often hard to keep up with and frankly, we're disincentivized to do so when many messages quickly turned hostile. So: you're gonna get a response, but you've gotta not be a dick.
