My self-summary
I'm attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, double-majoring in Global Studies and Sustainability and minoring in Classics. I'm versatile in social situations - I can make friends quickly, or be aloof - to be completely honest, it all depends on my comfort level. According to Meyers Briggs, I'm an ENFP - the Inspirer. Whoot? Haha.

I love music, singing, books, news, art, dance, theatre, politics, traveling, philosophy - everything but passively observing sports, honestly. I enjoy swimming, canoeing - but put any type of sport on tv and I will bow politely out of the situation. It honestly doesn't hold my interest.

I'm very passionate about raising awareness about climate change, immigration reform, global politics, current culture, history, sexual education, privilege, etc.

I was raised in a fairly traditional family and had a very strong Christian faith; I eventually accepted my sexuality, came out and was rejected so strongly by those that I called my friends that I took a good look at the Christian religion and found it lacking what I needed. I no longer associate myself with the faith, though I am well-versed in the scriptures and ideas. I respect those who are still Christians - but I do not expect to convert back.

As a result of time and continual growth, I have swung from being extremely conservative to extremely liberal. I believe that gender is taught, all people are equal, that many industries, businesses, and governments practice self-serving methods of operation that are destroying the environment. I think the notion of 'race' is fictional, as we all come from the same ancestors who evolved in Africa - it's based off of color and acquired physical characteristics that varying groups of people developed in order to survive in a particular environment. We're all human. So if you have a problem with any of that which is not resolvable, fuck a ways away and best wishes. If you're cool with it, or share any of the passions I have, please message me. I love to talk.

With that having been said, please feel free to send me recommendations of music, movies, plays, musicals, books - I'll appreciate the thought.
