My self-summary
In Washington DC until September. The wrong time of year to be deployed to a swamp. Two weeks in and it feels like two months.

I am a native of New York City. I like to wander, whether its the streets of NYC or deep in a forest. I have hiked up mountain peaks from Venezuela to Vietnam. I've explored ancient temples and pyramids from Bali to Guatemala. I've swam with sharks in the Galapagos Islands, hand fed pink river dolphins in the Brazilian Amazon and had an anaconda slip right through my hands in Bolivia. When not off on some adventure around the globe, I like going to museums, movies, concerts, sporting events, parks, green markets, street fairs and food halls or food trucks.

Never married or had children. I just saved you a couple of questions. Let's just say life went very differently from what I would have liked. So many things beyond my control. Beautiful things that were always just out of reach. Not lucky in life but lucky to still be alive to try my luck again and again.

Not on the A-List. So I can't see that rare individual that clicked "like" upon seeing my profile. With the paltry amount of messages I receive, I'm on the D-List. And I am okay with that.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in special investigations. Long hours, plenty of stress but I like being out in the field instead of stuck in an office.
I’m really good at
Making friends with animals, science, geography, reading maps, finding my way around and I can run really fast.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm white. Yeah, I helped you out with that one. And I am left handed. So you can have fun watching me struggle to do all the things right handed people can do easily. For example, swiping a Metrocard.

Six things I could never do without
Animals, mountains, forests, fruits, a Kindle Fire and a passport.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Endangered species, climate change, control of the South China Sea, beautiful but chaotic Venezuela, a free Palestine, economic development, the oil curse and what life is like on Native American reservations. And there is an incredible waterfall in the jungles of Guyana and I must see it.

There are 307 Starbucks coffee shops in Manhattan. That works out to be one for every 5.5 blocks. No need for paranoia, you are not being followed.

Recently in Oklahoma, a child was sent home from school with a letter that said left-handness is associated with evil. There are still some very primitive people in these United States. My people aren't evil, we are just quirky is all. Just a little different than you righties.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably still working which happens way too often. I'd rather be out or even just home watching a hockey game or a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I "liked" my own profile and feel very guilty about it. And I have a World Cup jersey from 1994 and it still fits me well. Maybe I should have more than a salad sometimes.

Now that I can no longer see who visited my profile, I miss you people. However, I like being able to visit profiles without anyone knowing.
You should message me if
you want to...then sing your song. But if you are an American, please don't bore me with Trump and Hillary. I don't care who you voted for or why you did. Be old enough to remember a time when no one said they were sapiosexual. And feel free to actually tell me you "liked" my profile. You know what, feel free to tell me it sucks if you think it does.
