My self-summary
Some of my interests are cooking, brewing beer, and the outdoors. I love trying new foods and cooking, especially if it's with someone who pushes me to cook something I haven't made before. Brewing my own beer is both fun and it even turns out pretty well most of the time. I also really enjoy being outside, such as on hikes in state parks, walking around forest park, or just hanging out at a BBQ with friends. I like having nights in as well as nights out. I have fun exploring new places in Saint Louis as well as just hanging out playing board games or cards.

I am a curious person. I enjoy doing things I haven't done before and thinking about things from a new perspective. At times I prefer to listen to other people's perspectives than to express my own. Sometimes it is just great to be alone and enjoy activities like home-brewing beer or trying out a new recipe. I'm also very laid back. I feel it is important that people go at their own pace. I try to balance the effort of makings things better with the utility of having it better.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working on a phd in physics, specializing in biophysics. Hopefully something I work on will help someone. Besides that I'm living in the moment, this one will never come again.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at wanting to help people understand things that I understand well, primarily physics and math. I have been very helpful to some people, but most people I will never know if I was actually any help or not.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I just finished the wasp factory which I really enjoyed. It was a little disturbing though.

I love star wars (the original 3), airplane, super troopers, X-files, Lost, the Office, the daily show, etc. I like shows and movies in almost every genre.

I like almost every type of food I have tried. Particularly Asian food, especially sushi. Fresh bread too... Barely cooked steak... Now I'm getting hungry so I'm going to think about something else.
Six things I could never do without
Physics. (Otherwise who knows what would happen?!?)
Good Food.
Always having drinking water around.
Rain. (I'm from Oregon...)
Underwear that was just pulled out of the dryer on a cold winter day.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'm going to write in these essays... Seriously though, I think a lot about morality and ethics for both the individual as well as the laws governing society as a hole. At what point does one person's suffering or lack of freedom outweigh everyone else's? I also spend a lot of time thinking about how things are made and how they work. And for many things I think about how I would get along without them in my life. Like if I would find an alternative or if I would build my own machine to do the same thing. Compared to everyone else, I don't spend almost any time thinking about the past or the future. Things are going in the right direction at the moment so I don't need to be actively steering my life onto a different path. I also don't think about sports or celebrities. I will watch them both but that is as far as my interests go.
On a typical Friday night I am
It varies. Hanging out with friends at a pub, watching movies/TV, walking around the park, or what ever I happen to be up to.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I almost never set my alarm. I only set it to wake me up if I have a morning meeting that I have to go to. Otherwise I wake up when ever my body decides it is time. It's going to suck when I have a job where I have to go in at a regular time every morning.
You should message me if
Some things that are important:
You take initiative.
You would rather move on than get revenge.
You know when to be serious about life and when not to be.
Brownie points if you cook or bake.
Also if you like puns. (don't worry, I rarely make puns on purpose though)
