My self-summary
I can spend hours in a specialty store looking at everything.

I listen to pop radio mainly so I'll be able to sing along in public to anything that happens to be playing.

I bought a bunch of Adventure Time comic books so I could make coasters out of them. They turned out okay.

I'm teaching myself two languages right now. It's real hard.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a public defender, so I try to make sure that the criminal system doesn't screw over poor and vulnerable people too badly. Besides that, I lift heavy things and then put them down, then do that some more.

Otherwise, I'll usually want to be doing or watching improv. (I am also a professional improviser.) If none of that is happening, I want to be playing a board game or watching a movie or TV. Just this year, I started homebrewing. And when I get hungry or bored, I cook or bake.
I’m really good at
There are 7 things I do frequently and am good at and knowledgeable about:
1. Improv
2. Law/Argumentation
3. Cooking/Baking
4. Watching TV critically
5. Board Games
6. I forgot what number 6 is. Remembering things is not on the list.
7. Drinking (while doing any/all of the above?)
The first things people usually notice about me
People around me laugh. I also have a very distinctive laugh, and my friends can always tell by it if I'm around.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book ever is The Picture of Dorian Gray, even though the middle drags a little bit. Also, The Sorrows of Young Werther literally changed my life. I've been getting into gothic horror literature lately too. Honorable mention to Stranger in a Strange Land for being my favorite book for basically all of my teenage years.

Casablanca is the best movie ever made hands down. No Country For Old Men is a perfect film as well. Boyhood is on this list. I watch (500) Days of Summer when I'm sad and Shoot 'Em Up when I have the giggles. I also used to be able to quote along with Dr. Horrible in its entirety but I can't anymore so take that.

Breaking Bad was the best show on TV ever. Let's talk about it a lot. The Wire is a close second, and Friday Night Lights is third, though Coach is the best fictional character and sometimes I kind of wish he was my dad? As for comedies, I'm a sucker for Community, Archer, Rick and Morty, and China, IL (RIP :( ). And I watch all through Arrested Development about every other year, because it is the Right Thing To Do.

Arctic Monkeys are the best rock band since 2000, and AM is my favorite album right now. My favorite bands you've probably never heard of are The Airborne Toxic Event and Billy the Vision and the Dancers. I hope you've heard of them or go out and hear them because they're great.

I just recently started listening to a new-to-me album every day. I have discovered a lot of cool music (and a lot of bad music) since starting.

I'll eat most anything, though I'm not really fond of seafood. It's not a real meal if it doesn't have garlic and/or chocolate, though. I'll also drink most any whiskey or beer. If it's aged in a bourbon barrel, I want it. I have had dreams about sour beers aged in bourbon barrels before.
Six things I could never do without
Improv, or performance in general. Board games. Netflix. Toothpaste/toothbrush, because morning breath tastes gross. A kitchen. And a pen. Always have one of those on me. Comes in handy too.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about a lot of things. What makes a movie so bad it's good rather than just so bad. How the future is awesome and we've been living in it for a long time, and it's only going to get better. How much I wish we still used zeppelins for things (It's like a cruise ship - in the air!). How the fact that there's so much chocolate pudding in the world that I haven't eaten gives me hope.
On a typical Friday night I am
Generally playing board games, or seeing a show, or out at one bar or another. Sometimes I'm busy Saturday and call it an early night and watch a movie or something. Sometimes Wednesday night (karaoke) is better than Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love sign language interpreters. I have no idea why. Just knowing that they exist tickles me. I am not deaf.
You should message me if
You want to nerd out about comedy or TV or movies or even law or whatever. If you're looking for somebody to go to a trivia or karaoke night with. If you want to play board games. If you think you maybe we would have fun together.

Also if you are a sign language interpreter.
