My self-summary
I love these little sales pitches...excuse me - autobiographies. The following has been duly vetted by my female friends who will vouch for its (relative) accuracy and authenticity:

I'm smart, educated, outgoing, a compassionate and good listener and I don't take myself too seriously. I'm a recovering attorney (does one ever truly recover?) turned real estate developer and now investor, which gives me a flexible schedule, the opportunity to travel, and plenty of time to watch cat videos on Facebook. I'm moderately athletic, stay fit at the gym, doing yoga or running on the boardwalk, but I'm certainly not obsessive about it - frankly, I do it mostly so I can indulge in good food and wine (within reason) without turning into Jabba the Hutt. I'm interested in and know a little bit about a lot of things, which makes me a good conversationalist, fun at parties, and good at Trivial Pursuit. I've been shaving my head for over 20 years and at this point I have no other hair-styling options. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of 80's music, although I admit I'm a little weak on the mid-80's hair bands (music really should have guitars and/or horns, preferably both) and I tend to have a song or movie quote for any occasion (is this just a guy thing?). I am generally happy, upbeat, have a great smile, and have been called "cute" and even "charming".

I'm passionate about travel and photography, plus I love scuba diving, so I get to combine all three pursuing underwater photography. I've been pretty lucky with it, and it also has the distinct advantage of taking me to lots of warm, tropical places. I've been doing more land/travel photography lately, so I travel a lot, exploring as many exotic and photogenic locations as I can get to. You're more likely to find me at some remote temple or some crazy festival (yes, I've been to Burning Man) rather than lounging at some "all-inclusive" resort, on a cruise (god forbid!) or just lying on a beach somewhere (besides, we have nice beaches here). Although there's certainly nothing wrong with an adult beverage overlooking the ocean at sunset!

I'm looking to date with an eye towards a committed relationship. I have a ridiculously amazing life and I'm looking to create something equally amazing with the right woman, someone to share and explore the world with. Someone who's smart, educated, warm, fit and fun with a sense of adventure and play (like me). Brains and sass are definite pluses - cute would be nice too. Someone who's up for everything from an art opening or a back yard barbecue with friends to a weekend in Napa or an African safari. Up to date passport required. Or maybe even just making dinners in and snuggling on the sofa in sweats binge watching Netflix.

But enough about me - if any of this sounds at all intriguing, please send me a note and let's chat. Maybe meet somewhere casual and fun, hang out for a bit and see if there's chemistry - which after all is really what it's all about. Hey, it's just a cup of coffee (or better yet, a glass of wine) - no matter what, I can guarantee good conversation!

UPDATE (12/16):
OK, I have to admit I've done pretty much nothing on this site for over a year (I had a major health issue which was my priority). But I'm back, looking forward to traveling to some amazing places and taking some great pictures, both below and above the water. Let's start dating and go somewhere really cool in 2017!
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to figure out how to use my camera - those manuals are f**ing worthless!
I’m really good at
Snarky answers to these profile questions.
The first things people usually notice about me
My good "energy" (that's not too woo-woo or New Age-y, is it?)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
In reverse order: Spicy food (Thai, Indian, Chinese), Italian (who doesn't like pasta or pizza?), good wine, Anthony Bourdain, Seinfeld, South Park, Tosh.0, The Daily Show, the blues, oldies, 80's music (I guess that's old now, too), Sinatra, The Swami Sound System (Is that still on?), NPR, The Tao of Pooh (the original was pretty good, too), Casablanca (the greatest movie ever - the actual place is high on my list, too), The Ten Commandments (the source of most of my Judaic knowledge), The Godfather I and II (III not so much).

Bonus dork/geek admissions: The Sound of Music (how DO you solve a problem like Maria?), Grease, The Princess Bride, Harry Potter, Antiques Roadshow.
Six things I could never do without
Red wine
My beach cruiser
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What's for dinner?

Who put the ram in the ram-a-lama-ding-dong?

On a typical Friday night I am
Recovering from an afternoon with my son (he's almost 8 - he lives with Mom). Catching up on the Daily Show (I miss Jon Stewart!) or out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I draw happy faces on the steamed-up shower door in the morning.

Oh yeah, I fudged my age to show up in your age X-50 search results. I'm actually 55 (*gasp*). But does it really matter at this point? Besides, that's the same age as George Clooney, a year older than Tom Cruise, and only 2 years older than Brad Pitt. So I got that going for me, right?
You should message me if
My profile at least made you chuckle.

(If you voted for Trump, have extensive tattoos, or value your close, personal relationship with Jesus, please don't be offended if I don't get back to you)
