My self-summary
I am a cook/chef that has spent a lot of time (and continues) playing music, writing, traveling, and just enjoying life for all its' worth. I am a laid back, relaxed, and easy going person that is looking for someone that is searching for the same. I try and have a sense of humor about things, but am serious when it matters most. I have seen a lot, but there is always so much more to everything that I can only hope to experience. I love my family and my son, who make everything the best even when it is at its' worst. Life is still an empty canvas waiting to be painted and I am ready.

My hair is pretty short these days too.
What I’m doing with my life
Cooking/working, reading, playing music, listening to music, writing poetry and other odds and ends, traveling as much as time allows, getting to know as many people that will welcome me, and whatever else seems interesting at the moment. I write songs for musicians from time to time, especially when they give me money.
I’m really good at
All of the above and enjoying life. I am decent at chess and Texas Hold Em too. I used to be good at pool and bowling. I can still have my moments.
The first things people usually notice about me
Im am nice and chill hopefully, and I am always ready for breaking new ground, exchanging ideas, perhaps getting nostalgic at times or just relaxing and talking about everything that is awesome.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books (loads of cookbooks, anything by Anthony Bourdain, humor such as John Stewart, and loads of magazines that I continue to subscribe to and loads more. I am also currently ready a lot of H.P. Lovecraft's fiction).

Music (too much to begin listing...but lately Mumford and Sons, Beach House, Lumineers, Bison, Of Monsters and Men, Tom Waits, Martin Sexton, Odd Future...but I like tons of music and have and continue checking out tons of live shows as well. Nirvana was my first show ever and I guess that is always a fun thing to share).

Movies (not as often as I used to, but I like someting funny these days it seems. Portlandia is a REALLY cool show. I am a sucker for cheesy horror and action flicks as well).

Food (Well, I am a cook and have done this for many I love so many aspects of food and eating I don't know where to begin. I pride myself on knowing and learning as much as I can about all aspects of the subject and strive to do do as many creative things as I can with all I prepare. Life is too short for crappy food. I eat out often as I always want to see whateveryone else has going on. Mom and pop restaurants are really important to me. The owners/cooks seem to have a lot more to prove and there is a lot of love in the food if everything is in its' right place. One of my favorte places right now is a dive where an old Korean woman makes magic happen on a plate or wax paper covered food basket. Even the soy based dipping sauce is heaven if you would believe it).
Six things I could never do without
1. Oxygen
2. My Son (he is the best)
3. Food (and all its' joys and wonder in my life)
4. Music (it makes the day awesome)
5. Friends (they make life interesting)
6. My Family (for making it all possible)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Way too many things. A lot of them are listed already. Who knows what may pop into my head? A good recipie idea is always a plus. Sometimes a nice poem comes along...
On a typical Friday night I am
hoping to never have a typical Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
could be many things...but in due time!
You should message me if
any of this sounds appealing. I would be stoked! Cheers...
