I was born in French Guiana but, as a military brat, I lived in many places in France and abroad. I studied computer science in France and Scotland.
I am definitely adventurous and I usually do everything I decide to do with passion. I also tend to be perfectionist, to the excess sometimes.
I also recently started doing martial arts again by practicing Muay Thai. I did a lot of Judo and some close combat and Karate but stopped a few years ago because I had to study and couldn't practice anymore.
I usually try to have unusual vacations, the latest one being a tour of the US by train (DC - Buffalo - Chicago - Seattle - San Francisco). Yes, that is a lot of train.
I am also very good at trying new things, getting out of my comfort zone, discovering new aspects of the city I'm living in.
Latest discoveries ? The Folger theatre for an amazing performance of Twelfth Night and the SurviveDC race !
I really love science-fiction especially the Hyperion Cantos, the Vorkosigan Saga, the Ender's Game series and a lot more ...
I also have a strong interest in fantasy : mostly Eddings (The Elenium is definitely one of the best), Tolkien (The Silmarillion is a must read), Hobb (The Farseer Trilogy !).
Other books I loved : the Hornblower series (I love the mix between History and adventure, also liked the anti-hero style of Horatio).
I read a lot of late 19th/beginning of 20th century novels too : Sherlock Holmes (love the books, not a big fan of the newest movies), Arsène Lupin (definitely one of my inspiration) or Edgar Rice Burroughs (for his invention of Pellucidar). I must also admit that I am a big fan of Lovecraft novels.
My favorite show is definitely The Wire (for its cynical, down-to-earth side). I also really like scifi shows like Battlestar Galactica and Babylon 5.
You should note that I developed a very particular hate/love relation to VEEP since I lived in DC (some aspects are so close from my personal experience ...). Same goes for House of Cards and its beautiful DC scenes.
