I'm originally from the midwest -- moved here 10 years ago for grad school. I like it here so much, I think I'll stay.
I'm in decent shape, I try to eat healthy, although I'm happy to indulge on occasion.
I like to learn about the world. I'm curious about everything - so I like to push buttons and flip switches just to see what happens. I like to take things apart and see how they work - although I try not to do this with things that I that I care too much about. (Hey! - I can get them back together 50% of the time!)
I have a practical and logical default state of mind but that doesn't mean I can't goof off with the best of them!
I'm someone who can give a business presentation on Friday, and then on Saturday will still take a running start and leap onto the back of the grocery cart, riding it as far as possible through the parking lot. Fun can be found in the small moments.
Looking for a best friend, a partner -- someone to share all of life's moments. Big or small, tragic or triumphant.
Love, respect, and above all kindness.
I love to discover new music - then when I hear it on the radio 6 months later, I feel just a tiny bit proud of myself (I'm not a total music snob, i swear). I can often be found going to see live shows.
There is a slight shade of green on my thumb - I have a number of plants around the house and I think it's fun to watch them grow. For the most part I'm able to keep them happy and healthy.
I like to keep up with the latest technology.
I like to check out the farmers market on the weekend - can you ever have too many cherry tomatoes? Also, white peaches are rocking my taste buds right now.
- Learning stuff on-the-fly
- Dealing with technology
- Trying out new recipes for never before attempted dishes
- Crossword puzzles (ok, I'm not great but trying to get better) -- this is something that is actually a lot of fun to do with someone else!
I grew up with a lot of mid-90s alternative rock, (and I still have a soft spot in my heart for bands like the Counting Crows), but I also love to find more recent indie type stuff: Chvrches, Beirut, The Tallest Man on Earth
**I love to discover new music, so message me with your recommendations!
For books and movies:
I'm really into stories that paint a picture of a society or world that is different than this one. That different thing could be something subtle -- a small quirk in the otherwise normal society -- or something "out of this world".
I like something funny but well written - Modern Family etc... Not a fan of crime dramas - there is enough tragedy in the real world.
The world's future
Ways to optimize my time
I think it would be fun to take accordion lessons
