Read primarily fiction, some faves include Chandler, Highsmith, Carver, Christopher Moore, Hiaasen, Elmore Leonard, Murikami, Nicholson Baker, Roald Dahl, Denis Johnson, Garcia Marquez, Neruda, Tom Robbins, Roberto Bolano, short stories, magical realism and old pulpy crime novels.

Love all kinds of movies, favorites are too many to name here. Some favorite filmmakers are Kubrik, Coen Bros., Soderbergh, QT, Wong-Kar-Wai, Godard, Jean Pierre Melville, Almodovar, Mayazaki, Pixar, Bakshi, Noir.

TV: Archer, Shameless, Walking Dead, Louie, Master of None, Fargo, Black Mirror, Peaky Blinders. Almost anything animated, Jeopardy

Music, Nina Simone, Morphine, Thievery Corp, Quantic, Coltrane, Cinematic Orchestra, Sigur Ros, Fela Kuti, Lee Scratch Perry, most jazz, Bossa Nova, Afrobeat,Ethio Jazz, Tropicalia, Stax, Daptone , Two Tone, KMHD, XRAY, anything with soul that evokes a visceral reaction.
