My self-summary
A self summary. . . hummm. After 4 decades of self reflection, introspection and talking to myself; I have come so several conclusions. I value intelligence over agreement, knowledge over ignorance and strong willed stubbornness (if it's thought out) over tacit agreement (even if it's one of my core beliefs). I believe that if you don't have intellectual curiosity, you belong on "Reality TV."

But enough abou my beliefs, a little about me physically. I'm tallish (6' 0") in decent shape (185 lbs and lean). I not pretty, but I know I'm not ugly either (I look like an adult sized 'Webster' I'm smart, well travelled, and a master of whimsy. I have a sunny disposition and laugh easily and often.

I am sardonic, passionate, and philosophical
What I’m doing with my life
In my own way, I try to make myself a better person. I workout as much as I can. I keep myself well informed daily (NY Times, BBC World News, WorldNetDaily - just kidding) I exercise regularly, and I eat healthy, tons of fresh fruits and raw vegatables, no fried foods except chicken of Lakers game days. (It's a ritual)

In my professional life I am a corporate mouthpiece. The official name is Technical Sales. It means I explain complicated thing to simple people for a fee. I am currently trying to upgrade to a better employer with better corporate benefits that' more recession resistant.

I'm currently learning Chinese for fun?!?!
I’m really good at
I am a great listener and an even better confidant. I'm an incurable romantic and genuiely emphathic. I am articulate, a great conversationalist and an accomplished racontuer. After writing all of this I feel compelled to add "huge blowhard".
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually it's the tail. I mean a two foot long furry tail isn't really that strange is it. Aside from the that, people often comment that I look like an adult version of 'Webster'. People also say I look smart, until of open my mouth and ruin the illussion.

Six things I could never do without
Sunlight - every new dawn brings new hope
My Sanctum sanctorum (a place to brood, contemplate laugh and question)
Friends and family
My toys (camera, bike, iWorld - iPhone/MacBook/iPad)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How much my head weighs, why I have such a splendid tail when others have none. Why aren't there special for accessories for tails like there are for heads?
On a typical Friday night I am
Fridays I wash and set my tail. I have to keep my best asset looking good.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Pablo Neruda described it best. He hadn't met me yet, he didn't touch my soul until 1990, but I know he had my heart in mind when he penned this:

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.

If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.

if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.
You should message me if
You are interested in meeting someone who is serious about relationships but not serious about life. You're tallish (5' 6" or better) or very secure and confident. I don't want to tower over my partner or intimidate her unconsciecely. I am a 6 feet tall black man, I know the subconscious visual impact that can have. (Have I mentioned that I think about everything.) You have to like to talk, be strong willed, opinionated and above all else intelligent. I grew up watching Katherine Hepburn movies (Deskset/Adam's Rib/Pat and Mike) and came to think that she reprented the Ideal Woman.
