My self-summary
Me? I am *the* quintessential Aquarian woman: a dreamer with colorful ideas and a passion for exploration. I'm unapologetically geeky about music and I adore all things related to medicine, sex, health, and women. Might I point out: Despite my profile, I don't at all identify with any specific orientation, rather, I fully support the idea that sexuality is fluid. That being said, I'm very open to anyone who is open enough to know me.

As for the more technical stuff: I'm a Berkeley graduate with a degree in Ethnic Studies and a concentration in Women and Gender Studies. I'm in the middle of a long journey toward becoming a physician, and while I'm incredibly anxious about it, nothing fills me with more excitement and joy. You want to know more? Feel free to read on.
What I’m doing with my life
Aside from the typical work grind and gearing up for medical school, I am deeply invested in living, loving, and exploring new ideas, foods, places, people, and experiences as fully as possible. What's life, if you're unable to appreciate the texture, rhythm, and the taste of everything the world has to offer? I have a strong appetite for new things. Got something fresh and interesting for me that you're passionate about? Bring it.
I’m really good at
...a lot of things. I find that I:
- have an especially sharp ear (and memory) for music
- can maintain a great conversational flow
- can write fairly well in a number of styles
- can recall *random* facts/stories/song and literary lines at will &
- can keep you guessing until you find out for yourself. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
Who knows? Depends on who you ask, I suppose. Some would say my hair, others might say my eyes or my hands.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
And now, for the Pandora's box question (I'll try to keep it short):

Audre Lorde, Thich Nhat Hanh, bell hooks, Esther Hicks, Alice Walker, Gloria Anzaldua, Carl Sagan, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Alan Watts, Paulo Coelho, Aldous Huxley, Ntozake Shange, Michel Foucault, Junot Diaz, Lao Tzu, Rumi, Hafiz (the list goes on).

Music: Soul (Classic and New), Electronica, Folk, Funk, Jazz, Trip-Hop, Hip-Hop, House-Soul, Bossa Nova, Samba, New Wave (80's), Mashups, Modern-Classical, International (the list really goes on).

Movies: Anything with rich colors/hues (i.e: Kama Sutra, Frida, Volver), off-beat humor (Amelie, The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy), or mentally stimulating (Adaptation, Inception) is a winner in my book. I'm also a sucker for documentaries.

Food: What can I say? It's wonderful. I love international cuisine, such as Indian, Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Thai, but I also get down with other kinds of cooking. I'll admit to having a weakness for sweet things, especially.
The six things I could never do without
- music
- colorful, passionate people
- fresh air
- personal space
- laughter
- an equal thirst for living and loving
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Random randomness. Everything. Anything you think about OR are even *thinking* about thinking about, I've already thought about it. Twice. I think.
On a typical Friday night I am
...usually out and about, finding different things to get into. Mostly, I enjoy winding down with good music, delicious wine, and great company.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Nope. If I admitted it, it wouldn't be private anymore. :-p

Bonus points if you have a particular thing for Sade and/or Prince and/or Maxwell. They are heavy in my rotation right now.
