My self-summary
I must admit - I haven't logged into this site in quite a few years, and it's interesting reading my old profile and seeing how I have changed. And in a lot of ways, how I haven't :)

I have a life I am pretty happy with, friends who I love to bits, a job that meets most of my needs. I'm usually studying on the side, and doing some sort of sport or exercise (though usually badly).

I'm a bit of a party animal, and I love to dance... but I'm usually not very good at staying out incredibly late, I eventually get hit by an urge to just go and sleep...

I also like long winding conversations over red wine usually with a funny TV show in the background.

I am excitable, motivated, and a dreamer
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to make the most of it, with the minimal amount of effort required. Mostly the pursuit of happiness, in it's varied forms.

More specifically that includes:

- Study of some form or another. I've just finished a masters degree in management, and I'm taking a 12 month break from any work related study, so I'll probably take up something that personally interests me instead, maybe a beginner's course in a language, or lessons on how to cook better (or for that matter, cook at all).

- Sport or exercise. Currently I play indoor beach volleyball, and am astonishingly bad at it. I even fractured my finger last week playing! I go to the gym regularly, and also jog and/or walk when I can - but I wouldn't say I'm fitness crazy, it's more just keeping myself occupied and avoiding being supremely unhealthy.

- Partying with friends. A fair amount of my weekend (normally Fri/Sat nights) is spent with friends, either parties at someone's house, or out at a bar or a club. I'm not usually the stay-out-until-6am type, but most times will see me stick it out until 2-3am :) About half my time is spent dancing, and half my time talking to friends :)

- Working. I have a job I enjoy, with an employer who I've come to understand. No workplace is perfect, and I have my share of complaints, but they generally take care of me here, and I work hard for them... I'm slowly working along my career, and to be honest while I don't have a specific idea where I'm headed, as long as I keep getting new challenges, and progressing further along, I'm pretty happy. The worst thing I could imagine would be to be stuck in the same role for a long period of time without any challenge or stimulation.
I’m really good at
Procrastinating until the last minute, and then getting everything done in the nick of time.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height (or lack thereof), my eyes, my racial background, the fact that I speak way too fast and have an unplaceable accent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(a) anything sci-fi/fantasy - I do have a list of favourite authors about half a page long, I used to be a bibliophage but I'm cutting back.

(b) All time favourite is LA Story, followed closely by the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Toys used to be another big one...

(c) Used to be into pop and 80's in a big way... still am, but now am enjoying a lot more electro too - and have just (re)discovered the joy of live jazz - traditional, not experimental.

(d) Japanese and Italian would be my two favourite cuisines :)
The six things I could never do without
My friends and family, my music collection, the Internet, showers, dancing, things to make me laugh, and sleep.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, work, boys, and what I really want.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends, or drinking with work mates, or watching a movie, or curled up at home reading a book... though more likely to be out with friends or workmates :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I often sleep with a purple teddybear named Jordan.
You should message me if
You don't care that I didn't actually pick three adjectives. You want to chat to me. You have some insane curious question to ask. You're bored. Do you really need a reason ? :)
