My self-summary
I've been back in Chattanooga for a little while, after 10 years of elsewhere (NY, Argentina, Portland, North Florida, Ecuador), I run a nonprofit rock camp for girls (Chattanooga Girls Rock), and I'm a cheesemaker. I'd love to make some new friends in the area or in Atlanta and Nashville (I'm there occasionally, and hope to be more often!)

I'm 99.9% purely looking for new buddies. I was very recently, and very brutally, dumped by my partner of 6 years so I find myself with a) lots of free time and b) zero capacity to have a relationship anytime soon. So, don't be a creeper, and don't take this as "oh she's saying she's just looking for friends but she doesn't mean it." I mean it.

I support 24 hour Bingo Halls and anyone training to compete in Ping Pong for the Gay Olympics. Nothing else is really worth training for.

I have a low tolerance for small talk.

Let's be awkward.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to find people to drink beers in the sunshine with in Chatt. Eating all the good things. Cheesemaking. Working on Chattanooga Girls Rock Camp (find it on the facebook!) Volunteering.
I’m really good at
Laughing inappropriately and loudly. Over-committing myself. Spontaneously disappearing to weird places/convincing others to come with me.

My old housemate Jess has edited this to read:
She has an amazing laugh! More of a guffaw, really. She guffaws at things which don't seem that funny at first, but the guffawing will, in turn, make you guffaw.

Also, throwing 90s dance parties.
The first things people usually notice about me
My laugh, hands down. If I'm laughing. Otherwise, my resting bitch face (don't worry, I'm actually a really nice person).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books are moving up my priority list after too long toward the bottom. Working on an NK Jemison book (escapism! sci-fi!)

TV- I finally moved it out of my bedroom. That does not mean I'm not open to bingeing something murder-y and british.

I'm always down for a show (music) of whatever genre, though my 5am wake-up calls get in the way of my checking out the music I want pretty frequently.

I eat most things, and I spend a lot of time trying to cook things that are delicious. Too much time- don't come over hungry...better bring some chips, it'll be a while. My city doesn't have a lot of great food- tell me about your favorites where you are!
Six things I could never do without
a friend-mountains-cheese-warm socks-9 hours of sleep- my glasses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever project is next, travel, my stupid/perfect dogs
On a typical Friday night I am
Forcing myself to go out for Something Fun, which will probably turn out to not be Fun, but you never know and I fall victim to FOMO too easily. I think I'm just getting old and it's harder to entertain me?
