My self-summary
I really, really hate the idea of summing myself up in a paragraph.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from the U of M a couple years ago and I’m still in the process of figuring out what I want to do with my life. At the moment, I'm working in the health care industry and applying to go back to school for public health. It is equal parts daunting and exciting, so please wish me luck.
I’m really good at
Spending an inordinate amount of time crafting. If you know anyone who wants piles of embroidered wall hangings let me know.

Making pretty decent meals out of the random food in my fridge.

Thinking up creative swears to mentally throw at motorists while I'm biking.
The first things people usually notice about me
My incredible gravitas? I’m going to go with that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I really hate picking out favorites. My heart is just too big.
Movies: It’s really hard for me to pick out “favorite movies” because a lot of the movies that really speak to me are profoundly depressing. My go-to happiness movies are: Amelie, Pride and Prejudice, Little Miss Sunshine, Wet Hot American Summer. Other movies I loved: Persepolis, Cool Hand Luke, Winter’s Bone, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Monty Python anything, The Triplets of Belleville, Nosferatu.

TV: Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Trailer Park Boys, Flight of the Conchords, GAME OF THRONES. I also have an encyclopedic knowledge of the Simpsons if that’s the kind of thing you’re into.

Literature: My favorite book is probably The Jungle because it’s the first book I read that I felt really expanded my consciousness. My favorite book that I’ve read recently is This Republic of Suffering. It’s about death in the American civil war. Yes, I am a lot of fun! I’m also an unabashed fantasy fan. If you haven’t read Tolkien: do it now- I’ll bet you are surprised.

Food: I’m really grateful to my parents for being super uncool and feeding me brussels sprouts and quinoa as a child, because now I’m down to eat anything and everything. I’m trying really, really hard to work my way through all the hot dogs and chicken wings in Minneapolis. I have also been told that “french fries are kind of my thing,” so do with that what you will.
The six things I could never do without
The six things I could never do without
(I’m going to disregard the obvious hierarchy of needs stuff)
1. Arts and crafts
2. Depressing documentaries
3. More dresses than any human needs
4. Sriracha rooster sauce
5. People who make me laugh
6. An endless supply of cheap wine
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I’m going to do with my life.

I don’t think I know what a typical Friday night is.
