To start with, I'm an urban person, I have lived the rural, farmy life but now I'm up to my eyeballs in urban culture. Modern art is big in my life; I'm both a consumer and a producer. I feel a kinship with the artist, David Ireland whose art was inseparable with even the most mundane parts of his life. Unlike him, my creative life evolves in more multiple directions (a topic for future conversations).
Personal growth and creative development are both important to me. I enjoy keeping up with digital tech/social trends. I think of my lifestyle as part of my creative life – sometimes a paradox, i.e. fresh, natural foods, contemplative mindfulness, juxtaposed with acquired tastes for 12 year-old Scotch and double espresso – The result? I have become my own sub culture, able to be comfortable in a multiple of other cultural elements.
So what; does my flex persona reduce me to a social chameleon? It's like this: I have strong preferences as to whom I mix with, I know who I am but I can have compassion and empathy for those who fall outside my world. I've said too much, the rest is for those who are curious enough to reply to my feelers.
On a lighter note:
Some of my favorite quotes from OKQ:
"I was born at a very young age."
"If you are looking for an angel, go to heaven."
" I'm a terrible person but I've come to terms with this."
" ..... am I sexually appealing yet?"
For work, I compulsively play with imagery, that includes a gig at a art museum (modern) – one of my goals? to blur the line between work and fun; I tend to be entrepreneurian.
Important stuff: I'm on a on-going search for good chai masala, after thousands of attempts, have found three good cups.
Update, gone back to espresso.
I am good at going to cafes and museums (modern art is my passion). I like surprises; in case of turbulence please fasten your seat belt.
If you find Antonioni's early films interesting we might have a fun there. I met Jonas Mekas, and like Stan Brakhage, Brothers Quay, etc.. – At times I like Fandor – I tend to think social commentary is good.
A passionate cuddle (where possible) fest, otherwise I'll take my displaced sexuality here: a long bike ride, cafe sitting, home projects, films, mostly these live up to my expectations.
Now and then it can get a little wild but not too often.
You know that boundaries are more then just property lines.
You like walking, taking trains, riding bicycles, flying (with or without airplanes).
