My self-summary
Hey :) A bit about me; I'm a bright, motivated 30 year old engineering graduate, currently on a Grad placement at Ford Motor Company. I graduated top of my class, they gave me a medal and everything! I have a previous degree in model making & special effects.

I enjoy socialising with friends; preferring a quiet pint in a pub to painting the town red, but am just as happy having a night-in, in front of good film with good company. I regularly geek out over gadgets, and have a keen interest in science and technology.

I'm new to online dating, but am here to find new and interesting people and I am serious about finding a partner to share my enthusiasm, sense of humour and affection with.

Musical Taste:
Rock predominantly, although I've got a taste for old-school hip-hop. I guess i just like songs that tell stories and convey realistic emotions; the good and the bad

Cinematic Taste:
Movies are one of my true loves. I have a wide taste, and believe in the mantra that a good film is a good film, regardless of genre or subject.

Other interests:
Cycling - desperately trying to get fit enough to do my second triathlon atm
Cars/Motorsport - They are loud and go fast. Appeals to the kid in me I guess :P
What I’m doing with my life
Just graduated, and moved into my own flat. I'm also using the opportunity to train to do my second triathlon when I'm not working.
I’m really good at
I'd like to think I'm pretty good at being an engineer, and there is plenty of things I get a lot of enjoyment from, without being mind blowingly good at them. One thing I'm definitely not good at is talking myself up, but in my experience not too many other people are too comfortable doing either ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
People say i have a nice smile. i can be quite serious at times, but i recon that just adds an air of mystery to me :P

I have eyes that look like sunflowers. Odd, but no bullshit :P
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
As per my self-summary :)
Six things I could never do without
1. The internet. It is like having an encyclopedia of everything right there in your pocket. Great for drunken pub discussions.
2. My car. Driving is my release, it signifies independence and freedom in my eyes.
3. Formula 1. When i like something, I am usually pretty passionate about it. Motorsport, especially F1 is one such thing.
4. Music. It can focus me, it can release me. It can enlighten me, sadden me, and overjoy me. That's pretty powerful in my eyes, and something I almost certainly wouldn't be able to do without.
5. Problems. Because finding solutions is just too damn interesting.
6. ......looking for a number 6, any takers?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, the universe and everything. I can be a pretty deep thinker if the mood takes me. Other times I'm just plain goofy, but what is life without balance?!
On a typical Friday night I am
On Dad duty, but if the opportunity to go for a few beers (I'm an ale man) down the pub presents itself, then shooting the breeze, laughing and catching up with old friends is my idea of a night well spent.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My favourite Muppet used to be gonzo, but I've got nothing but love for fozzy bear these days. It feels like cheating...
You should message me if
you think we share the same likes and interests; don't be afraid (!) I don't bite :)

I am genuine, I am sincere, and while these are traits that are hard to prove over the internet, if this is what you are looking for too, say "hello", and hopefully I can show you.
