My self-summary
Oh hey :)

So my friend told me I'd enjoy some of the questions on here, and now here I am on an online dating site. No one more surprised than me. But hey- I'd love some new friends, and I want to eventually date, marry, and have a family. So why not? That seems to be what most of us are here doing.

First off, I'm a Christian. I believe Jesus died for my sins and that God is working in me daily. My faith informs mostly everything about me. I'd be happy to talk with you or be friends if you feel otherwise, but we probably won't date.

Family and friends come first. I'm close to my parents and sister (in one of my pictures). I love to get to know people. I love to have conversations, to hang out, to be with close friends. I watch a lot of TV and movies (see below) and enjoy a good book. I'm a big sports fan - Vikings, Bulls, Man City, Blackhawks, Cubs. I'm definitely more of a suburbs than city guy having grown up in North Dakota, and I'm not too adventurous on my own but I'd love to try new things with someone close.

The rest of my profile is long enough below, so we'll leave it there for now. Good to meet you :)
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently at a transitional stage between bigger commitments. I'd been working for Wheaton College, my alma mater, for 8 years out of college. I'm currently doing some consulting and lots of self reflecting to figure out what's next.
I’m really good at
I love getting to know people, like really know them. I'm very empathetic and love unlocking a new way to connect with or impact someone at an individual personal level.

I'm great with numbers, stats, probabilities, etc. I have a great memory for both useful and useless things (love trivia). I'm good at learning. I love to read books or online just to learn new fun things.. who knows when it'll be useful?

I'm good at being real and having honest, real conversations. Nothing better.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure honestly. Probably my sense of humor or my heart toward others.

Six things I could never do without
1. My faith - defines most things about me
2. Family and friends - duh
3. My iPhone - texting, email, Internet, music, calendar, etc
4. My DVR/Netflix - people first, but come back later to catch up
5. A hoodie and/or pair of shorts
6. Looks like I have room for something. Maybe it's you? :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
everything. I'm always thinking and processing things. I like to think a lot about people, what makes us tick, how different people are best motivated or encouraged or communicated with. Whether I want to or not, I'm always thinking of 10 different ways everything can go and how all of the scenarios play out - both a strength and a weakness. I like to think about little things sometimes, just the wonder of seeing God in something simple.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with a few friends getting food or at a movie, maybe a game night, or just as likely a night in with Netflix, the DVR, or a good book
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm pretty open. If you ask me, I'll probably tell :)
You should message me if
You'd like to. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure yet what I'm doing here on okcupid - I'm surprising myself. I'd love to meet some new friends, and I'd be open or interested in dating as well. I'd love to meet you.
