My self-summary
Congratulations, you found my profile! I'm a single guy living in Macon, Ga open to whatever life is throwing my way.

I'm a bit of a workaholic, but I make time to meet people and get to know them. To be honest, I'm tired of "dating." Ideally, I want something meaningful, lasting. But, in order to get to the lasting, I have to take a chance, and open myself up. So that's what I do.

I am open about my feelings and i'm not ashamed to be myself.

Other things about me that you might find important to know:

I try to take care of myself and eat healthy, but if i could find a guy to motivate me to do a better job at that, it'd be a plus. I enjoy running when i have someone to run with, so if you're a runner and interested in me, that's a plus :P (however, i'm super slow. lol just a warning) But, along these lines, I expect everyone to take care of yourself mentally, physically and spiritually- what ever that happens to mean to you.

I have a passion for the arts and will try to convert you.

I like my coffee and alcohol strong and straight! It's always good to meet friends for either, or both even. hehe

I'm a great person to talk to when you need someone to listen!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working as an educator, paying bills, and looking for a great guy! (I also use the oxford comma- get over it)
I’m really good at
Baking- I have friends begging for my banana bread pretty regularly. I'd like to think I'm good at writing- just need to get off my ass, write more, and start sending stuff off to maybe get published. I'm also good at listening to a friend in need.
The first things people usually notice about me
People notice my large glasses i'd imagine. I was going for 60's college professor (Colin Firth in A Single Man.) And when I break the rules and intentionally wear white jeans after Labor Day, that gets noticed as well. My hair sometimes gets noticed, depending on what color it is at the time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
food- Mexican, Sushi, Indian, Southern

Music- Delta Rae (Have you heard them? they're FANTASTIC) Fun!, Lady Gaga, Pink, Laura Mvula, Foster the People, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Katy Perry, Broadway, 1D, 5SOS (feel free to judge me for those :p) Britney, Madonna, Ke$ha, Enya, A Capella choral music,

Movies- A Single Man; Erin Brockovich; Vantage Point; Walle; Were the World Mine; Harry Potter films; Star Trek Films,;Young Frankenstein; Charlie Wilson's War; Hear No Evil, See No Evil; Tremors films; Wit; Doubt;

Some favorite poets include: John Donne, Mark Doty, Natasha Tretheway, William Blake, Emily Dickinson.
Six things I could never do without
The Theatre
Intellectual Conversation
Passionate Intimacy
Close Friends

(This list assumes that basic human necessities- food, clothes, shelter etc are obtained as well)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
philosophy, politics, current events, song lyrics, poetry, my friends, mistakes that I've made in the past/ how to avoid repeating them in the future
On a typical Friday night I am
grading something, at rehearsal or a friends apartment. Now that I'm in Macon, I'm downtown some Friday nights... Although sometimes, I'd rather just watch a movie and hang out with those i care about and partake in a beverage there- don't have to worry about getting back home
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
i'm not sure, what do you want to know?

I cheated on tests in 5th grade... I thought i was helping a friend when i'd give him the answers to questions he didn't know. The teacher explained that he had to learn on his own, that i was actually jeopardizing his future if he didn't learn to do things on his own.

let's see- what else...
In middle school i had a pretend girlfriend. Ask me that story sometime- it involves Nevada, couch pillows, older men and magical color changing hair.

When i was 8, i was determined to one day be a Power Ranger- The blue ranger of course. I was so determined that i shared my dream at "Show and Tell" one day in second grade.

And one more serious one:
Even though I've learned a lot about myself and mistakes I made in past relationships, I'm still afraid I'm going to repeat some of them. And along those lines, I'm still afraid that I won't be an adequate lover with my partner.
You should message me if
You read all this mess and wanna ask me about how crazy I am.
You are a person who would respect me.
You want to know more about me.
You are not afraid to be who you are.
I look forward to hearing from you :-)
