My self-summary
I am an okay guy, and I like talking to new people online whenever I get the opportunity. As I was a sports writer, conversations tend to head in that general direction. However, I have a variety of different interests. Perhaps mine match yours...

In any case, if there is anything else you want to know, then just ask.
What I’m doing with my life
I would certainly consider myself to be in a transitional period of my life, as i have returned to the corporate culture after working in sports journalism for eight years. I used to keep insane hours from working at a newspaper, but am still slowly making the adjustment to working during normal, day hours.

However, I still maintain being a night owl, so if you ever just want to grab a cup of coffee or go explore the city late one night, I do enjoy odd excursions as well.

I've concentrated the majority of my life on working. While I realize that this is a turn-off for many, I find that working and producing something of value is more important to future success than debating academia ad nauseum, though it can be fun to do at times.
I’m really good at
writing, debating, speaking, trivia, listening

I had a teacher in high school that once taught me the value of the well-rounded individual - a concept the Greeks first thought of. I'd like to think that I strive to be that person every day of my life.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am very outgoing, so usually people will notice that I am friendly. After that, I hope that they find me to be interesting and intelligent.

However, it might be best for me to follow the Algonquin advice of the latter notion...

"Tis better to be thought the fool and remain silent, than to speak and remove all doubt"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Does anyone actually measure their capability to date someone based upon what books/movies/food someone likes? If so, this makes no sense to me.

If you feel the need to discuss any of the above items, then feel free to message me about them.
Six things I could never do without
1) the Internet 2) Sports 3) Steak 4) Sweet Tea 5) Politics, I love debate 6) My bed, I like sleeping
I spend a lot of time thinking about
sports and all things sports-related. I really am a junkie. I also love keeping up with the news and all things political. I will freely debate all things political and/or historical/governmental.
On a typical Friday night I am
likely looking for something to do out on the town, with a cold drink in my hand and good company at my side.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Just ask me. There isn't much that I really find to be "private".
You should message me if
you would like to make contact with an okay guy.
