having lived in durham for over 6 years now, i have come to love both, area and people. i always look to expand my horizon, and you will find me to be a generous, sarcastic, amusing partner in crime for numerous adventures. so... what do you have in mind?
09/25/16 yes, i know... this needs an update. then again, it's still all true...
currently, i teach at one of the 'institutions of higher learning' in the area - and i truly love it. my aim? think robin williams in 'dead poets society'...
whenever i get the chance, i enjoy traveling (good thing to have friends conveniently located in larger cities across the country and abroad). for short term adventures it has to be the beach (carolina beach is a great stop for boarding and seafood).
lately, i have started to take yoga and pilates classes again, which might not ncessarily make me all that much calmer but definitely reminds me to stay in the moment. aaand my current update is that i've started to work out twice a week and *gasp* enjoy it. best experience so far? getting a "work-out-high". on a sunday. at 8:45 am. with a kettle ball... of course it could also just have been oxygen depravation, being a smoker and all...
buffy the series - because feminism can come in the most surprising package and real vampires don't sparkle
nin, die aerzte, deine lakaien, bowie, manson (and katie perry as my dirty secret)
my favorite dish is bibimbap; as far as restaurants are concerned, i am currently enamored with mateo and el toro. for mocktails it would have to be the alley 26 - because you never know what treat you're getting this time...
you are genuinely interested in meeting and engaging with someone who likes to challenge and be challenged.
