Finally decided that I should join Goodreads and have come to the conclusion that I've read too many books.
One of my favourite essays is called Toward a Performance Model of Sex (from the book Yes Means Yes!), and I'm curious whether people read that title and think "well, this guy's a weirdo, moving on..."
It's an interesting essay, though, and I think it presents an ideal that I would prefer.
Also how violent crime has decreased since the early 90s yet people still remain convinced it is always increasing.
