My self-summary
I'm a writer/performer who spends a lot of time creating stories and poems and music for shows, and then creating the shows. At the moment I'm working on projects for voice, music and dancers. I like creating stories and images that answer some of the tensions I feel in my own life, or help me re-imagine the world.

If you feel like I might really understand you, you're right. I like to learn about people, learn without judging, find out what makes you unique and amazing.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a poet/musician/performer.
I’m really good at
thinking, writing, communicating, creating art and events, making you laugh
The first things people usually notice about me
eyes and presence
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read all the time, poets and novelists, cultural theorists, books on physics and symmetry and music and stars. I love stories by Mary Gaitskill, and lately poems by Marlene Cookshaw and Tom Sleigh, Edward T. Hall on how different cultures integrate time and understand space. Classic literature too, from the Americas, England, Europe. In film I'm a sucker for romantic comedies but love Coen Brothers and Blade Runner too, so go figure. As for shows, I work with dancers a lot, so love contemporary dance, improvised music, spoken word. On TV I watch Girls, Game of Thrones, specials on nature and coral reefs and wild parts of the world.
Six things I could never do without
a sketchbook or a laptop to write in, experiencing how much my children have brought to this world, books and a guitar and a stage to play on, intimacy, health, fast forward motion: dancing, cycling, motorcycling...is that six?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How we got here, why we're here, what makes beautiful, the light and dark sides of us, imagining and life
On a typical Friday night I am
Tonight was Friday and i was coming home from a friend's birthday party wondering why six police cars had blocked off boul. St-Joseph and so motorcycling down Drolet St. where an almost full alabaster moon hung low in the trees, feeling how solitary we all are, how amazing it is we live on this double planet, wondering how to even understand what this is all about.....
You should message me if
You like to laugh a bit at life and at yourself, you're curious to find out what's going on with me, and you want to be understood for who you are.
